I’m confused. NT and the EXO site said that Saavik would be available for immediate purchase starting 12/4 but the Regular One edition is listed as in stock now, but no Kobiashi Maru. I was thinking of possibly getting another to display in her bridge jacket, but not really keen on spending another $300 on another Regula One just to have the away jacket and accessories sit in the box.

I know we were told that the Kobiashi Maru versions were produced in lesser quantities, but I don’t understand why the Standard is up and the Essentials is not 🤷‍♂️

Maybe the Kobiashi one is a week or so behind. They did invoice and ship out the Regula one first. They might have to ship out all preorders and inventory before putting the remaining stock up. It might also be tied into the time they allow for you to pay the preorder invoice.

Mine arrives today. Hopefully it’s not too hard to put the jacket on. I need to go watch the instruction video.

That’s probably the only reason I’d want two. One to keep in the monster maroon and the other to have in the jacket. I don’t need two of Saavik though.

It's curious why the normal edition isn't for sale. As much as I like the Jacket, I don't think I'd have it on display so it would match other figure's uniforms (which I would not have in the jackets). And if I don't I'll never actaully take the coat out. So I would want the normal edition..

Though I can't buy her because then I'd need to buy Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Sulu, Uhura, Chekov, Scotty at least...

FINALLY!

I finally was able to get a photo that looks like the figure I see in hand!

This figure is an enigma. I have taken dozens of photos of her and every time her features looked flat or off, and the paint looks so soft. But to my eye she looked great!

But after adjusting the lighting about 200 times, and the camera angle ANOTHER 200 times, I think I finally struck pay dirt!

Kirstie!

Full disclosure, I did use a contrast filter, gently paint in some extra eyelash, and some held a cardboard plank up to my light to get the shading on her cheek the way I wanted, but the figure is great. I just didn’t think I’d have to work this hard to capture it!

Congrats! Looks amazing. Most pics have her looking surprised, but this one looks very natural. Really tempted to pick this up but I have too many pre-orders atm.

Yeah, that was achieved by having her look slightly downward and putting her eyes in partial shade, so they don't appear quite as wide. Another example of how she looks that way just looking at her on my table, but not in pretty much ALL my photos until I stumbled on the one above.

I'm going to get hate mail and be on everyone's s**t list, I know that. QuiGonFishing, this is a fantastic photo of the figure and it is commendable both on the amount of work you put in and on the result. It is a very well-done sculpt of a female Vulcan, almost flawless looking. But this sculpt is not a home run, It is a double at best. It just does not look like Kirstie. I apologize ahead of time for offending everyone and I know I am going to be the butt of everyone's scorn now, but I gotta tell it as I see it!
