In-universe, I'm guessing they split after Starfleet told her no and he got a promotion.
In my head? She got angry when she found out it was just a temporary tattoo.

Although, remember when they were quarantined on that planet in "Resolutions"? Some unfulfilled emotions and yearnings were cut short when Voyager returned to them with the cure.

So, I started a re-watch re-discovery binge of Voyager in recent days, and just like my experience doing the same with DS9, I’ve been absolutely amazed by how many episodes I either have no memory of, or never actually saw. Not sure how this is possible since I thought I was a very meticulous viewer of all of those episodes as they aired. But I guess not! And I’m only making my way through Season 2 at the moment.

But the one KEY takeaway I’ve reached so far is, we need a figure of Libby from S2E5 Non Sequitur IMMEDIATELY if not sooner!
