I've heard a lot that a girl never forgets the guy whom she lost her virginity to. And I'm talking about actual coitus; no kiss , caressing, foreplay stuff. Depending on the Culture, Age and how she was raised, it could be either myth of fact.
In the US is most of the times a myth the more the older the woman gets.
It also depends if it was memorable or lame. Lame experiences at young ages tend to be forgotten or overlooked.
In India or Japan for example, it would be a fact in most cases due to the low number of sexual partners a woman tends to have or the whole issue with virginity, fixed marriages and society.
In the US, women being so promiscuous and liberal, a sexual partner is just that. It happened. If you ask the girl who was her first, she might be able to tell you his name but if you ask the girl "did you ever slept with a John or a Mark", for example, she will also remember in most cases.
