Hey, if I ever met Brad Pitt in a dark alley dressed like a big orange cat I'd be pretty freakin' scared.

But really, look at that beautiful Thundercat artwork and tell me you wouldn't want to see that in live action on the big screen.

Someday...someday...

If I met any dude in a brightly lit alley dressed as a cat I'd be scared.

I loved the show as a kid. An animated movie? Fine. Live action, no way. It would be made of epic fail. No one of any degree of talent would waste their time or career with a fighting man-cat movie. No self respecting film actor wants to dress up like Cats.

Just because it's got some fanboy nostalgia doesn't mean it's a good story or would be a good, profitable film.

Thunder, thunder, thundercats... NOOOOOOOOO!

Hey it's HELLBOY

I vaguely remember that but it's not something I watched. I remember the toys more than the show.:lol

M.A.S.K. is one of my favorites too. I went through a MASK buying spree about 5 years ago. I was feeling nostalgic and spent tons of money on ebay gathering a bunch of them that I used to have.

I badly want Thunderhawk and Matt Tracker again, but they cost big $$$ mint on eBay.

hey YoNoSe your avatar just cracked me up, the first time lion o and berbil bill meet is :lol funny every time. erbilberbil

I actually changed it to that before I even read this thread if you can believe it. I got the T-cats DVDs super cheap on Amazon this week and I've been loving it. I was so disappointed with how badly MOTU held up for me that Thundercats is playing like Emmy material.

And don't think I don't know a Chopping Mall ref when I see one.:naughty :lol

But...you do know why the movie worked....right?

Changing the look.

alien shape shifting good and evil robots fighting for control of a cube that gives life to machines is a stupid stupid stupid story no matter how cool the special effects, explosions or robot designs are.

Anyone remember these.

aww ^^^^ yeah maulfan Inhumanoids is truly a favorite of mine. I still display the toys, got the complete series on dvd.

I've been checking vintage Thundercats and some of those are making me a little gun shy as well. At least if you want them without chew marks.:lol

Finding a decent Thundertank is going to take me forever...

Hey it's HELLBOY

Point taken, but beauty and the beast is a 250+ year old classic fairy tale and can be done without cat gear. Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera, etc.

Thundercats, despite fanboy insistence and some mythological touches, is NOT a classic story. Just another thinly veiled 80s attempt to sell toys. But they're making a Monopoly movie and a Candyland one too, so I guess Hollywood will make any crap into a movie if they think there is money to be made.

I'd love to chill. But due to some issues....I cant. I want to....but I cant. Calling me a ******, and attacking my films, sure as hell wont solve my issue. Sorry I didnt like this fan trailer, glad to know i'm a ******, who makes bad films because of it.

listen man if you do films you should get used to people bashing your stuff, don't take it personal. Take it with a grain of salt. Im into writing and Ive listened to a lot of proffesional writers say that they got rejected and bashed a lot- its part of the industry, and if they had thin skin they never would have made it. So don't take it to heart. Besides this is just a Fun forum about a Cartoon from the 80's. If you don't dig it, fine. But remember everyone you bash might feel like you? So if you don"t like the heat, maybe you should get out of the kitchen. food for thought. Peace :D

If you hadn't stopped to add that one comma that might be my favorite sentence ever.

Screw you too then.

Wow, I can understand that you are a bit mellodramatic; but lighten up eh?

80's cartoons ---

TMNT, MASK, Voltron, Thundercats ... and of course GI Joe.

Sadly, most of the fans of these cartoons are now of an age where they can produce/make films; and we get Speed Racer greenlit. :sick

You're right. Absolutly right. However....i'm in that very yanno....testy state, where anything, or everything can just...get to me.

And besides, the thing is, if someone said "TDK IS A HORRID MOVIE!" I'd disagree, but it is his opinion....and so what? Its not a personal attack....its not like I said "EVERY WHO LIKES THUNDERCATS IS A MOROON!" which I dont think anyway....but that doesnt mean I have to like it.

I like a good argument, but ^^^^ that ^^^^ when it gets personal.
