we were the delta platoon from 3rd bat that secured the southern side bridges over the euphrates while you guys took the buildings on that road skirting the river. we provided the crunchies (no offense) with rolling cover from building to building. it was crazy, it might have been c co 2nd bat, but i remember some alpha elements there. white 6 and i were ducking below my truck while both trying to decide if there was a sniper in one of the radio towers. first time i ever talked to a field grade like he was a joe.

what about mrs johnson who ran the abn px's register? the on who always said "have a bleesed day" ?

Remember CSM Flowers??? Were you there when they moved the battalions down the road to the "New" but still the old ancient ass Barracks. 1st Batt and us still lived in the crappy barraks and the 3rd batt got the new ones. It was so convienent just to croos the street to Px.

He was with us on the 2nd tour we did over there and was with Delta co. when they lost our first guy. He would do anything for his joes and was in a couple of firefights with us.

good man. CSM johnson talked alot but all he did was bury his nose up CSM reilly's ass. i was only there for the first tour. haji shot my thumb off at the bridge in as samawah. my section ldr ssg wolford and his gunner spc christianssen got silver stars for that fight. you guys had that reporter with you for a bit, the one who wrote the book about our brigade. he mostly hung around the cav scouts at talil.
