:lolyeah, should probably let the other guys have a whack at it.

Yeah...Marines always get our leftovers!!!:lol:D J/K They might send R.Lee Ermey after us!!!

Naw...The Marines are using the group. You guys can have OUR leftovers.:D

Marines - Always leading the way.:D

How cool is it though that you guys can hook up here with something as huge as combat action in common...and the same fight with the same unit, no less. I would be stoked to run across someone I was in Desert Storm with!

Hey Army, you need help forming your own group or thread?

Ummm...Oneye, just a thought. Maybe you should explain why your Marine Corps tattoo is backwards in that picture just in case the A-R-M-Y guys are confused.

I really don't want to give the U. S. Army a hard time. We are on the same side, it's just that the U. S. Marines are on the brighter side. :)

It is intended to be a good-natured professional rivalry. I expect that we all know who we are.

ok boys, i got one too. i was on a joint live fire with some block heads from lejune. their idea of react to contact was to get in line, run at the MG nest head on, and yell at it. ever hear of fire and maneuver?

in all seriousness, you guys know how to take care of your own. when i was in the hospital at landstuhl, the army liason was too busy flicking jessica lynch's bean to get me a set of clothes that didn't have my blood all over them. the marine liason was all over us when he found out we were there. he got us clothes, movies, and a wheelchair for my kneecapped joe. i had some choice words for the army liason when he showed up a week later.

LOL - Hell, that IS fire and maneuver. Firing off at the mouth and maneuvering straight at the objective. You know what they say. The shortest distance between two objects...:D

I did Team Spirit twice in the 8 years I served. Now THOSE were some good times! A couple of the GBs got pretty close to my fighting position before I noticed them. They didn't make it all the way, but they got too close anyway. I told them I let them get that close because they looked like the local kids selling cold sodas and moon pies.

Well, that's why I said, (tongue-in-cheek), Marines were on the brighter (smarter) side, implying that soldiers were on the dim (less smarter) side.

... some block heads from lejune...

Block heads?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!! The correct term is JAR HEADS, and when you say that, you'd better be smiling!

Now, give me 10 push ups, on broken glass, with no hands! You heard me! Move! I'll teach you to not use the
wrong term!

We called that exercise "Team Sphincter." I was in the planning for that exercise 3 years at 1st RadBn. The 4th year, I deployed for 3 months to South Korea with our own exercise that coincided with TS and ended when TS ended. I lived in a tent, no heat, at the end, some of us had be given contanimated water. About 10 of us went down hard, slogging our way up to the outdoor head to.... it was explosive!

I have nothing but respect for The Marines, I trained with them in Air Crew school and A School... they were great workout buddies and some of the most dedicated men I ever had the privilege to know. They never once treated me like I was just some Navy kid sharing their space, I was part of the class and the class was a unit... so I was considered part of the group. I loved those crazy bastards. :rock

I'm glad to see that the Marines of this board have formed up as a group, that was a fantastic idea. To all of the Freaks Devil Dogs....I salute you.. :rock2
