Well good! You don't have to worry about it then, and the rest of us will enjoy the contests, free swag, product previews, etc. (that Sideshow doesn't have to do) and there will be one less person getting in the way...

Well OK - you go get that wheelbarrow and brace yourself for an avalanche of goodies! How many calenders, mugs, key chains and T-shirts does it take to fill one of those things anyway:confused:

Seriously though, good luck to everybody out there!! I just hope that we see more announcements, teasers and pre-orders (preferably LOTR, Universal Monsters, Marvel and/or Indy) or for me it'll be a bust! :monkey2

OH SNAP! Ink just got.... cummins'd... that doesnt sound right.:lol

Wow, wow.

I am just excited for the chat day. Too bad they couldn't do it more than once.

Oh, and because I love the freebies, my want list:

Jaws maquette
New SSC mug

That is all. I don't ask for much.

:)

Seriously?

Sideshow does these events for their collectors. Sure, many of the specials are for stuff filling the warehouse, but there are also giveaways (like the Han and Luke stormtroopers right now), new product announcements, chat (which many of us enjoy), swag (you do not have to like it but some do), and even sneaks and previews of the upcoming SDCC exclusives.

If you (meaning any collector) are not into contests and swag, etc., great, you don't have to follow the site during the month and can be content to watch for new products during the newsletter, but why do you have to knock an event that is pretty much good fun for all, Sideshow and collectors alike? If you don't like it that's fine, it's your right, but is that any reason to complain about it? Some of you are like little kids... if they don't announce so-and-so product the event was a complete failure or crap.

If you have a legitimate complaint about the event, great. Give us your reasons in a civil, non-disparaging way, and we'll return the favor.

For real.

Prizes given away at Spook last year:

Bossk 1:1 Bust
Big Daddy Prop Replica
Multiple Zombie figures
Han Solo Medicoms
WoW Dioramas
Jaws Maquette
VCD Aliens
Cosbabys
Shirts
Hats
Keychains

and that is just the stuff I can think about right now. I am sure they will be throwing a few awesome freebies up, hell the first freebie was for 3 (THREE) Luke and Han Stormtrooper sets. That is awesome right there.

They've also promised multiple Star Wars, Dinosauria, and Marvels sneak peeks and maybe a few preorders.

What is there not to like?

We have become so immune to our own bull_____ that we don’t appreciate free stuff or discounts anymore.
I applaud Sideshow for putting these events on.

Well said bullseye, they dont have to do any of this stuff and yet they do, and it makes collecting their products more fun.

Ok...were 3 days into this fantacular thing and I dont see anything different on the site than normal. Whats all this about anyway?

Chris

I think the thing most people tried to get in spook 09 was the CHAINSAW!!! guy lol :rock
CHAINSAW!!!

I think I was one of like three people to not get one. :monkey2

Seriously though, looking forward to Fantacular. I'm glad they moved it up, cuz it was too close to Spooktacular before. Gotta spread the sweet promos out a bit...
