Looks decent enough and better than some of their last few films.

Happy to be proven wrong, but I think Sue’s casting is the only good one.

The two things that really ruined this trailer for me are the awful SS shot and Pedro’s line delivery. Tbh I didn’t notice Thing’s voice. Otherwise it looked kinda cool. Galactus looks awesome.

I know story is the most important thing and they're going for a certain retro style... but I still assumed a new FF movie would make these characters look at least half as cool as the 2005 cast.

Right now it's just no contest. And I'd still rather have a set of HT figures from the 2005 movie.

The first thing my son noticed was how small the new Thing is. This guy who's shorter than Sue is supposed to be able to last a few rounds with the Hulk?

You can see that The Thing is stood a couple of steps behind Sue and Reed, so he appears shorter than them. He seems to be stood at a similar level to Johnny, and is taller than him.

I do agree that he doesn't look particularly huge, but The Thing's size (and rocky-ness) has fluctuated quite a lot throughout the history of the comics. Largely depending on who is drawing him, and what the story requires.

The Thing drawn by Jack Kirby in the 1960's was never really that large in size. As this movie appears to be using the 60's Fantastic Four as it's main inspiration, I'm pretty happy with this design as a live action adaptation of "60's Kirby" The Thing.

I am interested to see how Joseph Quinn presents Johnny Storm's personality. As he doesn't seem to be presented with the devilish good looks that Johnny Storm is famous for, I wonder if he will double down on his playboy nature and charm. Not that Joseph Quinn is ugly, quite the opposite! He's certainly a better looking chap than me. But I feel like he isn't presented here as a heart throb. I think it's the hair. It's a bit... childish? No big deal really, though.

Chris Evans portrayed that side of Johnny Storm very well. It's mad how he nailed both the Human Torch and Captain America, when they are almost completely opposite in their respective personalities.

I can't even remember what Michael B Jordan did in Fant Four Stick.

Guess it depends on the run but in most I’ve seen Thing isn’t as big as Hulk. He’s more or less a normal guy covered in rocks.

Reed was taller than him originally.

I wonder if this movie is gonna pull an Infinity War where the heroes lose.

Galactus destroys their world and they have to relocate to the main MCU. That’d then set Galactus up as the next big bad.

Cause I’m gonna be real disappointed if they kill him off in one movie.

Hmmmm. Would they introduce the Fantastic 4 by having them lose so badly in their very first outing though? Bad enough the way they humiliatingly killed alternate Reed Richards in Doctor Strange MoM and Chris Evans Johnny Storm in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Meanwhile they have past form in having their intended 'Big Bad' lose even if not be permanently vanquished - Kang in Loki and then again in Ant-Man 3....so I heard anyway, I didn't see that one.

Word is he destroys that planet they’re on and they interact with the negative zone somehow and end up on 616 with him giving chase.

It would be funny if the movie ended with him killing all 4 lol

Because it gives them room to learn, grow and develop.

I think having Galactus lose in his first appearance is even worse.
