Fox Needs To Show Us The FANTASTIC FOUR Costumes ASAP | Badass Digest

I think it's really weird that we have seen nothing from Fantastic Four yet. Not a single thing, including no shots of the team in any sort of costume. Which, combined with some cast statements, has led us to wonder if there even are any costumes in this movie at all. The latest quote comes from Michael B. Jordan, who keeps throwing around the word 'gritty':

"It's a new look. We are all in containment suits. ... It's gritty. It's a gritty film."

"The costume process definitely took some time to get in and out of that thing, especially since I was bulking up," he said. "It was a little more snug during filming. We got through it man. It was a process, but we did it. It was hard work."

Containment suits? That works for the Human Torch, but why would the Invisible Woman be in a containment suit? Of course this 'containment suit' stuff could just be the lingo they're using in the movie to explain costumes - after all, everybody involved is going out of their way to say these characters get disabilities, not abilities, which is 100% something that comes from the film's tone. The containment suits could be the same thing.

But that's why we need to see them! Or at least see SOMETHING. We're about seven months out and there hasn't even been an official photo of the cast standing together that I can use on these articles.

Meanwhile, after denying it up and down, Marvel is canceling the Fantastic Four comic seemingly forever. Or for what passes for forever in superhero comics (like maybe three years). The company has denied that they were going to cancel the title to spite Fox's new movie, but all the scuttlebutt I've heard from industry friends is that yes, Marvel is canceling Fantastic Four to spite the new movie. And that this comes down from Ike Perlmutter, the mysteriously crazy head honcho of Marvel. The Ike stories I've been told would make you turn white, and canceling Fantastic Four sounds about like the most reasonable of all these Crazy Ike stories.

Couldn't care less about the movie or Marvel cancelling Fantastic Four (though I think it's awesome if they're doing it just to screw Fox :D), but I wanna hear these "crazy Ike" stories, now. :lol

Miles Teller Knows FANTASTIC FOUR Fans Hate Him For 'Mr. Fantastic' And 'Ruining the Franchise'

During a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Miles Teller discussed his Whiplash movie as well as his role as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in the forthcoming Fantastic Four reboot. When asked if he is bothered by the mostly-negative response to his casting and seemingly Josh Trank's overall direction, Teller vented that, "there are a million blogs and websites talking about the casting and they hear one little thing, like, oh, there was rumor it was a found-footage movie, so then there were a million comments on that." He continued, "If we’re going to be up for everybody’s public disposal of it, I try not to get too caught up with anything on the Internet. Out of sight is out of mind for me a lot of the time. I already know that people hate me for the fact that I’m playing Reed Richards and that we’re ruining their franchise. It’s tough because when you’re taking on a franchise that’s already been established, you do kind of owe something to the characters and to the creator. At the same time, you want to bring it to a fresh audience. My dad grew up with the "Fantastic Four" comic book and not a lot of kids did, so you also want to make a movie that they can enjoy. I will say that this film that we made is not really for little kids, I don’t think. We do take a more mature approach."

Poor guy has been dealing with the wrath of Marvel fanboys.

To be fair, the ad only asked for a "fantastic actor" who's willing to be "flexible".

The responses by the actors is a bit discouraging to me. Reason being that if they had faith in the film, their response would be something like "folks can say what they will now, but once the film comes out a lot of people are going to be changing their tune."

But instead, what we get is, "I don't give a **** what people say. I just ignore it. I, uh, don't think this movie will be for kids. I think it's mature and gritty. And, uh, I think we're in containment suits or something? People are talking about found footage, and uh, maybe that's in this movie. But if people don't like it then **** 'em."

It's like they don't even know what movie they were acting in, and don't really care :lol

Fantastic Four was popular when his father was a kid. Star Wars was popular when I was a kid, no wonder it doesn't sell anymore.

Comic books allowed me to enjoy spectacles that couldn't be accomplished on the big screen.

Now that comic books can realized, I have no use for them anymore.

I hold onto my collection from when I was a young punk just for sentimental, nostalgic reasons plus their smell.

Who wants to read the LOTR when you can watch them.

Get a haircut hippie! :wave

I'm getting pretty hyped about the whole thought of them in containment suits. Add to that, the fact that this is going to be a very very gritty flick, I'm betting alot of people are going to be shocked and awed when this hits the theatre. Bye Bye Avengers top grossing superhero money spot. :lecture
