Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon sequel could happen, says Biehn

Creative Director Dean Evans is interested in a follow-up to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, at least according to Michael Biehn, the game's star voice talent. In an interview with Xbox's Major Nelson, Biehn said from his understanding Blood Dragon is exceeding Ubisoft's sales expectations by five times, and Evans is now considering a sequel to the retro spinoff.

"Dean was with me on the phone last night, he called me last night," Biehn said on Major Nelson Radio. "He was pretty jacked up. He was going into a meeting today, to.. I think he wants to turn it into some sort of franchise. He's got a sequel in mind."

Haha I played about an hour last night :) very funny. So many little things that make me smile. Even down to the robocop gun spin once you have distracted the enemy :)

The cut scenes are awesome.

Yes yes and more yes. This game was amazing and I've been reccomending it to everyone I know. Bring on more Rex Power Colt.

I feel like this is just such a fun game, someone clearly sat around playing with G.I. Joe figures saturday mornings and played out their favorite 80s movies with them and than said, you know, I could make a video game with these and add dinosaurs that shoot lasers from their eyes. That man is my hero. :lol

Finished the game up earlier today, and picked up the last achievement as well (kill 25 dragons).

Never played Farcry 3, but the trailer for this one looked real good.

Same here, never played regular FC3 but the trailer for this looked way too good. It is to video games what Grindhouse and The Expendables are to movies.

You guys have made me curious about this thing. I'll get it off of Steam soon.

I played this coming off of Bioshock Infinite which is one of the greatest games of all time and this game had no problem keeping me entertained. Get it, you won't be dissapointed.

Actually I think this is pretty much what the last Duke Nukem game should have Biehn, er, been like.

The fact that, unlike the last Duke Nukem, they actually managed to pull off the cheese factor and make it all still fun to play makes me in no way surprised that they are already talking sequel.

i really want this but I'm hoping for a boxed version.

It is in next weeks Best Buy ad as a new release for 360, PS3 and PC for $14.99 so I assume a boxed release.

Not even close :lol

It is "Airplane!" / "Top Secret!" / "Hot Shots" type of product.

Not at all. Duke Nukem where you can pick up crap out of a urinal and throw it or take a leak is that kind of stupid. South Park where you piss into snowballs or fire eggs from a chicken's *** is Hot Shots type of product. I have serious doubts you've even played this game to say something like that, this is far above a crap game like Postal. The Gameplay here is first and foremost solid and the cheese is a backdrop.

It's very much like Expendables in it's got an old action star intentionaly poorly delivering cheesy one liners while he uses crazy over the top weaponry like a minigun that he screams the entire time he fires to blow up Helicopters etc. All the 80s movies referances are done perfectly and the humor is no where near the level of Leslie Neilson, its more like the over the top humor Beihn delivers in Grindhouse, he's actually in that remember? Planet Terror... He's got the same sort of ridiculous but funny lines like when they make fun of the 80s Reagan Video Game Don't Do Drugs Ads. The soundtrack is very John Carpenter esque, it's just not remotely fair to compare it to that crap like Top Secret.(with the exception of Airplane which is funny and not crap but again not remotely close to the humor here)

Its freaking magic, a MUST for any lover of 80s movies like Cyborg. Robocop, The Running Man etc. The music is great, made by one of my favourite synthwave artists Power Glove, check out this tune from the game to get in the mood for some cyborg killing!

That song is awesome.

I just bought a Lenovo gaming laptop this week, and hopefully it'll arrive soon because I just went on a spending spree on Steam and this is the first game I'm gonna fire up.
