Duel being my favorite by Spielberg.

Ohhhhhh. I honestly forgot about that. Been a log long time since I've seen it. I always loved all the films from most of these eras. Always great sunny weather.

Yeah, I'm sure 99% of us have fond childhood memories of that one. And it is a great, escapist movie for kids. Probably my favorite movie as a kid. That inevitably introduces some bias. I recently saw someone who reviewed Ghostbusters, seeing it for the first time as an adult, and reviewed it very favorably, but that's another one that I can never be totally sure about.

ET's were in Phantom Menace with Yoda and while ET was Earth met someone dressed up as Yoda.

Had to go with ROTLA - how does one vote against Indy!? ET was fantastic and will always be a very special movie - a masterpiece of filmmaking.

I voted ROTLA.

I recently watched the Anniversary edition of E.T. after it sat in my DVD case for many years. I have to say that the CGI E.T. scenes are very jarring and take me out of he movie completely. Has Spielberg removed this version from distribution, or is it still readily avalable?

Not sure about that, but I know that my Blu Ray version has both the original and the version with the added CGI. I just watch the original as it was perfect the way it was.

It's not even close.
ROTLA is way ahead in the poll.

Regardless, I enjoyed E.T. very much. It was an instant classic.
