Wow, I nearly forgot about "Santa Claus: The Movie", thanks for posting that Balsquat!

When I was a kid the VHS tape of that movie, which was recorded off of HBO, was in the VCR non-F'N-stop from Thanksgiving to New Year's.

How the heck have I forgotten it? :slap

Yea. It had allot of charm. I still love watching it. Ever notice that Burgess Meredith Plays Old Man christmas?

Tonight I had a couple glasses of Bushmills and watched The Planet of the Apes. A Batty Christmas tradition is born. :duff :lol

I think there is a difference between Christmas films and Films related to Christmas. Hell Mean Girls, Eyes Wide Shut, Rocky 4 and even When Harry Met Sally have Christmas in them but I wouldn't consider them Christmas films. I think Batman Returns, Gremlins, Die Hard all fall into the related category.

Another related film that always seems to be watched around this time is Harry Potter. Those films usually feel Christmasy to me.

aw! you're such a party pooper!
i've said for years, "christmas story" and "die hard" are my fav christmas films :D

batman returns not so much cause i hated it, but if i liked the film i'd def consider it a "christmas" movie hehe

nightmare before christmas is also another one i have to see between halloween and xmas :D

not really "traditional" xmas movies, but i watch these every year when the season comes around:

- die hard & die hard 2
- love actually
- bad santa

We're not going home for the holidays so this Xmas I believe this will be our viewing schedule:
Big Trouble in Little China (my pick)
Hot Fuzz (her pick)
Serenity (my pick)
Pirates of the Caribbean (her pick)
Predator

It's a Wonderful Life
The King of Kings (1927)
Ben-Hur
Batman Returns
On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Jack Frost......for that snow rape kill scene.

Its corny as hell but there's something about the end of Elf where the Central Park Rangers :)lol) are chasing Buddy and Santa through the park as the crowd sings Santa Claus Is Coming To Town that strikes a surprising emotional chord. Its a mix of excitement and warm fuzzies that you don't see too often. Its stupid, but gets me every time. :lol

As for favorite movie, definitely A Christmas Story. Just saw The Nativity Story for the first time last year. Really well done, I'm surprised it hasn't aired yet this year.
