I gotta go with GTA3 even though VC is a close 2nd. GTA3 was great with the mob characters and everything, and i loved LC for the first time. I really hope we get some more star power for the next one i really enjoy that. I know it probably costs bigtime $ but it's worth it i think. But to be honest i love them all they're all so good, i have not played the PSP or DS games though.

GTA3 Celebs:The voice cast for the game's characters features several established celebrities. Notable voice actors include: Frank Vincent, Michael Madsen, Michael Rapaport, Joe Pantoliano, Debi Mazar, Kyle MacLachlan, Robert Loggia, Lazlow Jones and late rapper Guru.

VC Celebs: The voice-talent includes Ray Liotta as protagonist Tommy Vercetti, Tom Sizemore as Sonny Forelli, Robert Davi as Colonel Juan García Cortez, William Fichtner as Ken Rosenberg, Danny Dyer as Kent Paul, Dennis Hopper as pornography Director Steve Scott, Burt Reynolds as Avery Carrington, Luis Guzmán as Ricardo Diaz, Miami Vice star Philip Michael Thomas as Lance Vance, Danny Trejo as Umberto Robina, Gary Busey as Phil Cassidy, Lee Majors as "Big" Mitch Baker, Fairuza Balk as Mercedes Cortez, and porn actress Jenna Jameson as Candy Suxxx. The voice of the taxi dispatcher is provided by Blondie singer Debbie Harry.

SA celebs:
Like the previous two GTA games, the voice actors of San Andreas include notable celebrities, such as David Cross, Andy ____, Ron Foster, Samuel L. Jackson, James Woods, Peter Fonda, Charlie Murphy, Frank Vincent, Chris Penn, Danny Dyer, Sara Tanaka, William Fichtner, rappers Ice T, Chuck D, Frost, MC Eiht and The Game and musicians George Clinton, Axl Rose, Sly and Robbie, Billy Idol and Steve Stevens, and finally Shaun Ryder.[25] Young Maylay makes his debut as the protagonist, Carl.
The Guinness World Records 2009 Gamer's Edition lists it as the videogame with the largest voice cast, with 861 credited voice actors, including 174 actors and 687 additional performers, many of those performers being fans of the series who wanted to appear on the game.[26]

Unlike previous games in the series, the voice actors of Grand Theft Auto IV do not include notable and high-profile celebrities, instead opting for lesser known actors such as Michael Hollick, Jason Zumwalt, Timothy Adams and Coolie Ranx. However, several high-profile DJs host the various radio stations within the game such as Iggy Pop, Juliette Lewis, Karl Lagerfeld, DJ Premier, Roy Ayers, Fez Whatley and Lazlow Jones. Saturday Night Live actors Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis appear on the liberal and conservative radio talk shows respectively, with Fred Armisen playing several guests on Lazlow's "Integrity 2.0". Katt Williams and Ricky Gervais also have their likenesses and comedy depicted in an in-game comedy club.[47] Numerous other comedians, including Jim Norton, Patrice Oneal, Rick Shapiro, and Robert Kelly, appeared on the radio and/or as characters in-game. Tony-nominee Alison Fraser can also be heard.

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

My fave is still SA. Love the open space in that one. Hell I never even finnished the game, I just played it untill I unlocked all the areas and from then on I stopped doing the missions and would just drive around the whole place occaisionally running over a bicyclist here and there, or do a random drive by or run over some biker cops etc lol.

Get to it son!

My fave thing about SA was and is the TRUTH. Love Peter Fonda in that role. If you listen closely at some of his ramblings while on missions etc. There is some Truth in there:cool:

Huh. I never knew GTA had such a large number of celebrity talent. I never noticed. As long as the voice acting is good, I'm set. I don't really care about celebrity stunt casting to draw attention to a game. That's not saying I don't appreciate actors who can do good voice work, I do. Still, that's good of you to link so many of those names, Oscorp!

The only GTA game Ive ever finished was San Andreas. I guess that one would be my favorite. I'm not really that big into GTA, but I've tried most of them. Hopefully the next numbered GTA will take place somewhere that isn't Liberty City.

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

Vice City was my favourite just felt right :rock

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

I loved the setting, vibe and characters of Vice City, but San Andreas was the most fun for me. It started slow, but once you get out of the first city it becomes hilariously fun, and the game world is amazingly ambitious.

Really? That was one of the big draws back in the day. And a lot of them you would think would never even care about a game.......Burt Reynolds?

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

Vice city would have to be my favorite, I love the setting and the fact that a lot the game gets its source material from scarface. Also Ray liotta is one of my favorite actors.

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

Vice City.

A game that's very special to me for one reason or another. V Rock opened my eyes to rock music, one thing lead to another and then I became a guitarist. Vice City helped my career... No matter how failing it is.

They probably still don't care about games. A paycheck is a paycheck. I don't care if a celebrity is picked to play a role in a video game. They were probably overpaid for work that a working voice actor would have done just as good.

Unless it's a game based on a film with a character that actor played on screen.

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

I've played, finished, and loved every single one of them. But, Vice City is the definite standout as well as the game with the best soundtrack ever compiled.

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

Vice City is a classic. The entire setting of the game reminded me of Miami Vice, or some other cool 80s TV series.

True but you'd think Burt or Dennis Hooper wouldn't need a paycheck.

Can't argue that

Re: Favorite GTA game?/And do you want more Celebrity VO talent in the next one?

Vice City was the best GTA hands down. GTA3 changed gaming forever. it's a classic. Vice City had it all. great characters and an actual story line. 80s and cocaine era, and an amazing sound track that had the funniest radio stations. you can;t go wrong. san andreas sucked. dumb characters. no story line and boring missions. but an over the top game play which was fun. that was it. GTA 4 was great, next gen with awesome graphics, but again no story line and Niko really had no personality. the next one i am sure will be great.

I like my GTA filled with a ridiculous amount of ridiculous things to do, so San Andreas for me. Then Vice City, III, other, IV.

Dennis Hopper did voice work for this game:

Sure, sometimes they don't NEED the paycheck, but the kitchen ain't gonna remodel itself.
