I remember at the time that the Beatles Anthology was being released and David Letterman had just moved into the Ed Sullivan theater, rumors were rampant that the surviving Beatles were going to reunite for this one time on this 30th aniversary of the British Invasion and to celebrate Letterman's move to CBS... and David played it up pretty good.
There came a moment were David addressed the rumors and told the audience he had a special surprise in store for them. Well the audience went wild thinking that they were going to be treated to an impromptu Beatles reunion - I thought so too.
Dave introduced the special number, the audience went wild and out walked...
Larry Melman who then treated the audience to a wonderful rendition of the Beatles "All My Loving"
That is definitely in my top 10 most memorable TV moments.
