Does your favorite scene impact your collecting as well?

I guess I will start with mine, the very first scene ever since it impacted me so much when I was four or so... the scene where the Stormtroopers cut the door to the blockade runner and the ensuing shootout which culminates with Vader stepping through the door. I guess that is why I own over 20 troopers...

One of my favorite sequences is the Obi-Wan vs Anakin stuff at the end of ROTS. Another is Anakin storming the Jedi temple with the 501st. The opening sequence of ANH is a MAJOR one for me and anyone I would imagine.

Kind of unfair to limit it to all 6 movies. I'll break it down to OT and PT.
OT: Empire when Vader reveals himself to Luke
PT: Anakin marching up the temple steps with the 501st.

Easy...

The opening scene with the Blockade Runner fleeing the Star Destroyer... pure Genius.

I remember it vividly still, I was only 6 years old and running around the theater like a hellion, caring less about the movie that was about to come on. Then suddenly, when that giant ship appeared, and kept coming for what seemed like an eternity to my young mind, I was mesmerized. I don't know how I got back to my seat, maybe my parents came and got me, but my eyes never left the screen from that moment on, and a fan was born.

Also, as a kid, my 2nd fave would be a tie between the Hoth Battle and Darth Vader's reveal.

It's an easy one for me, the Sarlacc Pit. Finally get to see Luke being a badass. Favorite out of all six films, but for the PT it's also pretty easy, Duel of the Fates with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Maul.

In ANH I loved the scene where the falcon landed on the death star. From that point on the falcon became my favorite ship of all time. I was 5 when I first saw that and til this day I get excited just seeing that scene.:blissy

Yoda's fight scene in clones. I always wondered how the hell he could be a Jedi Master. Finally gave that little guy some credit.

In A New Hope when Luke is sitting in Obi-wan's hut being told the story of his father's demise and the end of the Jedi at the hands of Darth Vader. Alec Guinness put such feeling and emotion into that scene almost without saying a word. The pain of the loss of his friend Anakin and the end of an era is written all over his face.

PT: Obi Wan 'chosen one' speech to Anakin on Mustafar followed closely by Anakin storming the Jedi Temple with the 501st.

OT: ESB the entire movie. A favorite scene is when Yoda uses the force to retrieve the X-wing from the swamp Luke says " I don't believe it" Yoda replies "That is why you fail". Followed by Vader announcing to Luke he is his father.

For me a few scenes in TESB but one particular scene near the end of the Hoth battle:

When Vader watches the Falcon departs from the rebel hanger deck then the scene cuts to Luke watching the Falcon escape the same time.

Father: Pissed off
Son: Releaved

:goodpost:

Battle of Hoth. I love all the rebel gun turrets shooting the AT-ATs with no effect. I also love how one of the Empire's most advanced war machines was destroyed because it got hog tied by a speeder. Also I love how Luke takes on a AT-AT with nothing more than a harpoon gun, a lightsaber and a proton grenade. That walker death is epic!
