Damn near impossible question for me because I like it all...however if I had to...

I think when I was younger I identified more with Luke but as I've gotten older, I appreciate Obi-Wan from the prequels as someone more relatable.

Minus the Force... there will always be someone waiting to show you up. You'll be tasked with the responsiblity of showing them the ropes as well wiping their nose for them!

Completely underappreciated until long after you've become a ghostly apparition and you leave your empty robe lying about!

I voted other because I couldn't choose just one, but upon reading your post and reasoning I too would choose Obi-Wan.

So many great characters worthy of a lot of fan love. For me I chose Han Solo, as he was the character I idolized as a kid. He was a good guy, but not so good that he was above a few dirty tricks. He also had the good sense to realize when a certain rodian was gonna kill him, and did what had to be done.

Unlike Luke Han didn't wear his heart on his sleeve, which made his good deeds all the more thriling. Coming to Luke's rescue in the trench run, or saving his hide on Hoth, you knew he was the good guy but he just didn't want to admit it.

Where Luke was the pure hearted, innocent hero, Han was the Scoundrel with a heart of gold. I'll take a few shades of grey over a white knight any day.

I love Luke and Boba as well. But deep down, Han Solo was the first character that I really liked a lot.

Leia was hot but seeing her stoned in the last film turned me off of her.

Ben was a cool, noble jedi until we find out he is a manipulating lying *******.

Vader was a total bad-ass up until he tells Luke he is his father. Then all goes down hill from there.

Yoda was a muppet so he doesn't count.

Boba was suposed to be a bad-ass (at least he posed like one) but all he did was hide in the space garbage, take a few pot-shots at luke then fell screaming like a girl into the Sarlac.

The prequils didn't happen so no characters there.

3PO and R2 were fun but I would have to choose Chewbacca for the win. He is probably the only character that comes out of the films unscathed.

I know Vader has a strong fanbase, but I gotta admit, this poll is surprising, I thought it would be much closer between Vader and Fett. I thought Vader lost alot of his fans after Lucas revealed that he was an emo dork in the first three movies.

The only reason he had so much potential is because Lucas basically left him alone and killed him quick. Otherwise he would have been ruined like so many before him.

Of course, they're trying to ruin him in the CW with the mecha-spider-rig.
