Build progress; the basic corpse for the table (that houses the spit) has been built and the crazy arched table legs are present and correct.
The deco on the front is getting there.
The consensus from Rav and Duane was to use string to create the deco , which I did, but the string looked...like string, and man did i try to paint the ____ out of it to camouflage its stringy properties but to no avail. Had to junk it.
Finally realised instead of building outward, I should be cutting inward, mirroring the process of a real table deco being chiseled, and this approach seemed to work, hopefully it will do the job. Few pics of the table in progress, and on the back platform with Figrin Dan's Jizz-clarinet substituting for a spit beam.

Definitely a new wall and a new arch coming, to create the court for Jabba's denizens. Was taking to Duane about the Carbonite wall, and he's got that pretty much covered, don't think I'll be addressing the trophy heads, even in the blu ray,you can barely see 'em, I have the SS carbonite wall, but that scene isn't that important to me, more concerned with the court scenes; the initial droid arrival, Luke's entrance, Boush and post carbonite scenes, so getting the texture of the walls, building more set, getting the spit right, sorting the lighting is more on my agenda.

Micro update
The sculpey deco has been fired, table undercoated , rivets and tiny support struts to come.
There are two ledges that extend out from the sides to support the spit to be made too, spit itself will be started Monday, fingers crossed
