I did cringe when Dani Alves had a banana thrown at him racially and he ate it, Suarez was in the paper the next day eating a banana to kick racism out :lol
I do wonder weather the media and pr do this for a joke sometimes . Made me giggle tho.

I think he was probably advised to do that as a PR move.

England may be a shadow of what they were in the 60's but they play such devastatingly dull football that Nato are considering deploying them in world trouble spots as a peacekeeping force. The idea is that they'll bore everyone into such a stupor that they'll forget what they were fighting about.

Maybe the Italians side of old could see out games but this one is just not good enough...Italy and England have some serious soul searching to attend to I think

I wasnt impressed with Uruguay to be honest. Italy were quite organised even with 10. They are lacking up front though. Balotelli so frustrating.

Yep, looks like Prandelli has indeed resigned! Wow! Like you said Matt, he just signed a new contract taking him through to euro2016

He's probably over-reacted hopefully the Italian FA will tell him to take a holiday & think about it rather than making a rash decision after just being knocked out

I was rooting for Uruguay up until Suárez went cannibal corpse on Italy.
That man has got to be suspended. No way can they let him go on playing after this.

I agree. We made an approach just before he signed his contract and he knocked us back.
Do like the look of Verratti. Looks like a star for the future.

Veratti is indeed one for the future but he's no Pirlo and he doesn't really create enough chances for my liking...only time will tell for him. Pirlo will no retire and Italy are lacking a decent number 10...there's always been a number 10

Baggio, Del Piero, Totti...and now???

Back to the drawing board for Italy and England....hopefully they can regroup for the next world cup. I guess it's very difficult for these nations to organize a squad of players that play together for most of the time with so many foreigners playing in their leagues. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think I read that Manchester City has only one player that's English?

Veratti is always heavily linked with Real Madrid. The other day it said that PSG would swap him for Di Maria and Benzema. :horror

They have five English players:
Hart, Milner, Rodwell, Sinclair and Richards.

Can't believe Suarez, the guys mental.

They've got a few English players; Hart, Milner, Richards, and a couple of others I think.

I like the look of him. Very gifted with the ball. Your right tho. They have always had that one player with the X factor but they havnt in that position since Totti. Pirlo will be a huge loss.
