Wow, that's a nice shot of him. Where did that come from?

Hey AB, Nice HS Bro! Again! :D This shot was taken @ TF and pulled from an RS Gallery I think, I forget. PS. I dig it too!

well i have him on order and won't be canceling. just wish his articulation wasn't so limited. did they really have to do that to the body just to put in the sound chip?

nice sculpt and paint app there in my opinoin :D
I wish I'd seen teh movie, seems to be a classic

Honestly? At this point I think the film is undermined by it's own hype. I watched it and I could see where it was a great film, but it seems very dated and even a bit hokey, although Loggia and F. Murray both turn in fine performances. Pacino's Tony, by design mind you, lacked depth.

My favorite part is when he's in the tub, watching the flamingos, and as they fly he saying ," Yeah, go pelicans!!":lol

This film is a classic in it's own right and Pacino's favorite film for a reason... it is actually a remake of the original Scarface starring Paul Muni and directed by the great Howard Hawks, the storylines are quite similar...

It wasn't appreciated when it first came out but has gained huge worldwide status and popularity over the years and it has nothing to do with hype -- Art which stands the test of time never does. Tony's character and his dialogue are STILL some of the most repeated lines in film history...

And the Scarface Video game is expected to break sales records when it is released in the fall... because it is such a beloved classic...

I really think the Operatic quality to the story contributes to this...

most films we loved years ago seem dated. this is still a classic. i hope the vid game does well. i heard the Godfather game sucked.:monkey2

Oh, I'm gutted!

I had to cancel this figure! :monkey2

I love the face sculpt Andy and if I had more room I would of loved to have gotten this guy!

"You need people like me!"

"So, say good night to the bad guy!"

I watched it the other day and the only thing I would change about the film is the sound track. It's a bit dated. Sound like a Casio keyboard. But not too bad.

I'm with you on this. I liked it a lot when I was younger, but I think that had something to do with the crowd I watched it with (any movie can be fun to watch with the right people in your college dorm :) ).

aw man! call me an idiot, but I loved that part about the soundtrack.
I even went and ordered it from Amazon.uk a while back cause it was never released in the US and was disappointed more of that Casio music wasnt on it.

It wasn't bad. And wasn't bad enough for me not to like the film but it is now a bit dated. I know Casio keyboards where good at the time (80s) but they've passed on. Where as other instruments keep going and don't sound dated.

I'm picturing some scenes in my head when the keyboard music was playing and it's making me laugh! :lol

I'm sure I've heard worst sound tracks in my time though!

Yep, I have the soundtrack on Cd, very tough find, yeah it's got some hokey Georgio Moroder post disco songs on it although Blondies' "Rush Rush" is still an amazing dance song but the haunting beats in some of the score still play well "Tony's Theme"...

As far as Oliver Stone's Tony character designed to lack depth, I just don't get that comment Mikey. I actually read the final draft shooting script at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences library and most of the characters were well drawn out with good story arcs

Tell me if this is designed for Tony to be lacking depth in character

1) He fought in the Cuban Army
2) He was an ex-patriot Cuban Exile who hated Castro
3) He doesn't really know his father
4) He was a Cuban street thug gang leader
5) He was disowned by his own Mother
6) He always tells the truth "All I got are my word and my balls"
7) He loves his little sister to a fault and has a violent overprotective "Father Complex" because he doesn't want her to end up or have to live like him...
8) He desperately wanted to be a good father and unlike his own, love and provide for them
9) He had a great sense of humor
10) He wanted to make his mother proud of him by being a successful business man in his eyes...
11) He was very smart
12) He refused to harm an innocent child allowing that moral conviction to become his defacto death warrant (the aborted assassination of the official in NY)
13) He had a "little coke problem"
14) He was blindly loyal (trusting Manolo with security)
15) He was a violent psychotic
16) He was power mad
17) All he wanted was to experience the American Dream...

Designed to be lacking in depth? Shall I go on?

I discovered the magic of the Scarface soundtrack while playing Grand Theft Auto 3 for Playstation 2. One of the stations in the car plays 4 of the main songs from Scarface. Cool as hell since I never payed attention to it before.
