The Crisis Core figures are pretty nice.... but Squeenix, why no Cowgirl Tifa? The new Kingdom Hearts Cloud and Sephiroth are pretty neat to.

The Blu-ray for FFVIIAC: Complete is pretty good. The fleshed out story is great but I could have really done without the shift in focus to "cousin Oliver". The additional Denzel content about ruins this version of the film for me. This "complete" blu-ray could have included the original theatrical cut and the Last Order OVA...

I really didnt like the extended Denzel parts, but loved the Zack parts though. The Last ORder would of been nice to have included, but I think they had problems with copyrights or something? TLO is an alright anime, but I think Ive only watched it once or twice since I got it.

I was thinking of picking the bluray up, but I hear the picture isn't so solid. Opinions?

My HDTV only does up to 720p and the disc still looked great. I can't complain about its transfer quality.

The only nitpics I can make is that it is so sharp and detailed that I can now easily pick up inconsistancies in the textures and the way movements are modeled. For me that makes the film take a step back towards the "uncanny valley". It also seems like they didn't take as much care with the additional background/NPC characters they added. The way their clothes are modeled and hang on them looks unnatural. And Denzel. He completely sucks.

But again these complaints are not about the actual blu-ray transfer. I thought that was really impressive.

I wouldn't recommend pitching your old disc either. I still really like the original theatrical cut.

The Last Order was released on the Special Edition DVDs. So I'm thinking they should have been able to release it on the Blu-ray. Just seems like and oversight.

was at FYE today and saw that DCD set for $50, doesnt really seam worth it at alls ince I got the BluRay, DVD, and JApanese dvd already.

I placed a order for this set off of bigbadtoystore just abit ago.

cant wait to get them up, but do i put them in my FF7 section or my Advent children section.....Zack can kinda go in both.

Heh, I like the token black guy from that one. Groovy. Those character designs are just getting more and more detailed and headache-inducing. They all scream "Try this if you dare, cosplayers!" EDIT: I just noticed those are their names below them. Lightning and Snow? Are they Cloud's distant relatives? Don't get me wrong, I dig the weather names, of course.

So here's the collection all put together. I think it's finished until I magically find that statue of Sephiroth vs. Cloud for under $200 which will never happen so I'm pretty sure this is it:

I also own every key chain made of Cloud Strife that I know of. Though the Advent Children one's head popped off and the motorcycle one fell off his Hardy Daytona, thank goodness it happened in the car so I didn't lose him and I can glue these guys back together.

If there's another game Cloud merchandise that you guys know of that you don't see in my pics (and it's kind of hard to make out I admit), do tell.

Oh, I own the chibi Coca-Cola Cloud figure but not the regular proportioned one, and I own neither of the clear red variants. Variants are for people who don't have tons of medical bills to pay off.

Sweet set up Cloud6! I didn't know the KH version of Clud was out already, I'm gonna have to pick that one up. I still haven't gotten the CC Cloud/Shinra Soldier hopefully those hang around for a bit I wouldn't mind a few..

Yeah, the paint detail on Kimahri is awesome. You can't tell from the pic, but the eyes on Yuna are perfect as well (one blue eye/one green eye).

Personally I really like Lightning's character design. I don't know if I'll play the game, but I might pick up that figure. I did the same thing with Paine from X-2. To be fair I tried playing that game, but the disc had a scratch on it and I thought the 'dress sphere' thing was a little stupid.

Man, I tried so hard to get through that game, but gave up. Maybe I'll go back and re-visit it, along with FFXII. I really liked FFXII, but then a lot of PS3 games came out.

Damn I miss the days of college when I would stay up all night playing games and not worry about work the next day.
