I think if you want the FF7 Remake Tifa look, this natural pretty sporty thin petite style,
Gametoys is going to be the only choice.
All other products are always some kind of mash up of original PSX Tifa mixed together with Remake Tifa
and a bit of ****star on top.

So many unlicensed figures and 9/10 they come out like crap

And 10/10 times they are seedy looking statues in creepy positions with exaggerated features.

I dont have that kind of money.
I can buy maybe one or two Hot Toys products per year (300-400 USD each)
or one more expensive statue (800-1200 USD) in two years but thats it.
And i only buy from companies that i trust and most of the time
i only pre order from trusted stores that have no problem with me cancelling my order
if i dont like the final product.
So it makes no sense for me to gamble with these unlicensed 400-800 USD statues.
If we take these Tifa statues as a example and lets just say i would have pre ordered like 10 or 15 of them,
i would have been extremely disappointed with pretty much all of them
and it would have completely destroyed this hobby for me.
So theres no way that i'm going to take this risk, its not worth it.
I would think about it if there would be some fixed really high quality standard
but this whole pre order, sold out, prototype gambling stuff, nah, i'm out. Its no fun at all.

Ah, very fair point! I don't have money either... All of my spare money goes towards future Gametoys releases, with the odd figure here and there, but no way could I afford this Tifa statue, nor do I have the room for her

Based on the Gametoys products so far, i think Gametoys Tifa will easily win against all of these. Even against all other pre order prototypes.
The only difference is that Gametoys is just 1/6 scale and fully poseable.
If you want Tifa Remake as a 1/4 scale statue - there is none.
And there is a very high chance that the new pre order prototype products will look exactly as bad as all the other products before.

Yeah but at least with Gametoys so far it looks like you will actually receive what you ordered in the pre order phase
or it will even look slightly better. So you will really get what you ordered or even something better.
But with these unlicensed statue companies that only release one single product,
chances are extremely high that the pre order phase looks really good
but then you will get a product that was downgraded two times.

You wont even get the already downgraded promo test statue the company made,
you will get the even more downgraded mass production version.
I will gladly take the Gametoys version in that scenario.
It would be great if the statues would actually look like they do in the pre order phase
but it is very easy to see that its not the case.
I mean what kind of serious and professional company that is interested in growing and customer trust
would completely vanish after releasing one single product?
Yeah, pretty much all of these Tifa statue companies for example.

Who is EA or NL Studio? Nobody knows, nobody will ever know because you will never hear about them ever again after the Tifa release.
Its great that they have 3D artists or professional painters to create these hq pre order shots
but is it really worth anything when the actual physical product never looks like that?

firstly，final product sure got variance with prototype. even for gametoys. its just how big is the different. dont anticipate highly that gametoys final product will 100% matched with prototype.

it seem like gametoys figure collector have high hope for gt figure and expect 100% or more on headsculpt etc. we have to understand that games ，anime related 1/6 figure especially female headsculpt are very difficult to restore the resemblance，not easy on custom headsculpt .in term of mass production，it will be even more difficult. each angle of view is not the same.

Thats why a lot of fans debated on gt tifa headsculpt，but strangely i dont see such debate on others company figure like hottoys female headsculpt，honestly i dont think ht female figure headsculpt is on point，not even 80%.

gametoys figure made fans quality control awareness become more picky.in my personal opinion， gt figure already worth more than the price we paid. lower the expectation，then you wont be disappoint.

Its just blessful when some company decided to make the character you love when nobody else do it，some product are not perfect or good enough.

Thanks so much for the update, walter88! Gametoys always exceeds my expectations based on their accuracy to the characters as well as including their most important accessories. I agree with you that I think we get more than we pay for, compared to my other 1/6 figures, GT has a more "attentive care" to details than others. I think Cloud & Sephiroth's accuracy to their game model caused a lot of pickiness among fans and collectors. Every day I look at mine in awe!!
I'm so happy GT appeared at the right time. I first stumbled across VTS Zack and found GT Zack on the same page... in comparison... The choice was easy...

Yup. I think HT has nailed excellent likeness on some female figures. GOTG2 Gamora, Shuri, Nebula, 1st SS Harley Quinn, and Hela comes to mind.

HT has some pretty good female headsculpts but they are not consistent within the quality level.
When they have a series of one character, like Gal Gadot Wonder Woman or Margot Robbie Harley Quinn,
the quality level of the different releases within these series is all over the place.

And HT is guilty of completely false advertising too. They evidently showed prototype headsculpts
at big conventions where they put all their effort into it
but then the final product doesnt have that kind of expensive and detailed paintjob
and they didnt even use the same headsculpt model that they showed before.

I dont think theres any big company that always delivers perfect likeness when it comes to female characters.
Its way more inconsistent than the likeness quality of male characters.
