Took them a few day but looks like they want to sell the damaged bike, but a partial refund if they give it is an acceptable solution for me.

Thanks for sharing, I have emailed and chased for a refund as it seems the communication I received is different to yours and that I had to pay for the postage at my expense for the bike if it's sold and they'll refund me the bike if it's sold unless it's been a long time.

So the partial refund is only contingent upon the broken bike actually being sold to someone else first and you needing to mail it to the new buyer on their behalf? That's a pretty wild solution but I guess there is not too many other options. Too bad this company couldn't reach out to GT and just get you the replacement piece that is shattered on your bike and you just DIY repair it.

GT has been refusing replacement parts across the board for the figure. Gundamit will be giving a partial replacement, which is the best they can do, and then asking for some assistance in potentially re-selling the damaged item to re-coup their loss. Seems fair for everyone involved, though unfortunate that you weren't able to get the Fenrir. Hopefully GT learns from this and has more secure packaging moving forward.

What about replacement for cloud parts? Like head sculpt?

I've seen a few people get replacement heads, but also more than a few get denied. That seems to be more hit and miss. Same with googles. Swords and bikes haven't gotten any replacements.

If this is true, and also that GT said they won't replace the bike because it was part of a set (what's the logic here, that they'll only send replacements if both figure and bike are damaged?), then it's not fair that the sellers are getting all the blame. Crappy handling on GT's part of what's ultimately their fault.

Yeah, why should the customer be the one whos out of luck in this scenario?
We are not talking about unique produced special custom made requested products,
we are talking about a collectible series that was available to buy in shops,
the customer paid for the product + shipping price that the shop asked for, which means the customer paid for everything there is to pay
and now the customer has to rely on the producing company, the shop that sold the product and the shipping service
that this product is gonna be delievered to the customer.
So how can this come down to its the customers problem? The customer literally did everything that was asked of them.
Meanwhile the other parties didnt fulfill what they offered - to deliver a brand new product.
This whole "yeah sorry we cant really do anything about that, we are not responsible, we are just a small poor shop" is bs.
This is a responsibility problem between the producer, shop and shipping service and not the customer ...

Gotta remember that most these overseas retailers probably aren't nearly the same scale as some of the US domestic retailers like Sideshow or BBTS etc. that have a buffer amount of extra product set aside for defective replacements and parts.

Unfortunately this is an unsanctioned limited product by a small independent company who probably tries to keep production cost down as much as possible by limiting excess made at the factory.

As for the packaging, that is an unfortunate design choice and has obviously compromised the integrity of the product inside during transit, but there is also the matter of how it is being handled by the shipping companies too.

Lots of things to factor in, hard to say where the blame truly resides, all in all though, it's a risk on part of each buyer when preordering these things sight unseen.

I mean, I’m pretty comfortable saying this is Gundamits fault considering they’re the ONLY shop with hugely damaged bikes AND the only shop who did a piss poor job of packaging. If they’d done a better shop shipping it, we could be sure the blame was on GT’s packaging. As it is, GT’s shouldn’t have to be at a loss because GDI didn’t want to mail it properly. Also making you go without the bike is crazy. They should at least offer half the cost of the bike if you want to keep it and try to fix it.

Sucks all around, my condolences.

This is why I'm asking if anyone from FNC has received their orders yet. I wonder if they'll double box and their cs is known to be very bad. They said they would contact shk about a cloud statue damaged piece and when I went to shk it looks like they didn't even try until I went back to show them
