I did wonder about that too, because in the review video he did say he a fan of the figure. But why wouldn't he pick up the gt version. Unless the vts one were just send by tw for him as a gift to review but he just ain't gonna disclose that

The GT version is superior to the VTS one. Thats for sure. No VTS AC Cloud or Zack review as far as I remember.
Maybe to promote the VTS one? I have to admit.. I saw him the first time on his channel. After that I did my research and found out about GT etc.

I'm gonna wait till end of Dec and see what to do then, at least my 'Buyer Protection' has renewed until April for PayPal which I'm using as a failsafe for getting my money back.
Also I noticed they were sold out originally, and then with all these cancellations, somehow they had stock. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that, they 'may' have secured orders and re-listing peoples cancellations. Who knows...

Yeah the gt version definitely superior when is come to likeness and all, but I do like those diorama base vts have. And yeah he only review the vts ex first class soldier cloud. No Zack or ac Cloud. Maybe he just wasn't a fan of FF really just did the promote to sell those vts. TW does have those vts FF figure sitting at low price. Speaking of comparison, have you seen the super duck version of Cloud

It’s a shame the facial structure on SuperDuck’s Cloud is so off. It would have been neat to have a Cloud with a skintone that looked like the early concept art.

With "normal" Zack you get his 1st Class Outfit and two headsculps. Young and older Zack.
The second body has his 2nd Class Outfit colors. Its just another body for the other headsculp. Nothing special actually.

Ok thanks! I think I'll go with the regular version for now. Got my order in on TW with Paypal. I've been reading the thread, but I'll see what happens. Worst case scenario, I get store credit and just get something else. But it will be cool to have the 3 altogether.

The extra body has a few hands .. but no stand or extra. Most of the stuff ist with the regular version, like the swords, materia etc.
I would have been happy with an extra stand. It is as it is.

@KerotanFrog I respect your gusto in making the attempt, but they literally aren't even paying for Lim Toys Gunslinger batch 2 right now, which is one of the biggest releases of the year and the manufacturer is telling them they have their stock, to just PAY FOR IT. There's no Gametoys figures, it's just to get money. They go out and buy these figures 2nd hand from wherever, they don't secure any stock. So if they can't get them 2nd hand for a good price, oopsies.

But, I really hope you're the exception, I don't wish for any community members to get burned but... we have dozens and dozens of pages of it, to where people were complaining it was all we talked about. So... You know what you're getting into it.

Semi-related but I was informed there's an r/gametoys subreddit and someone messaged me from there on the r/hottoys sub asking if I ever got my Cloud figure back in the day because none of them were getting Zack from TW and they were worried. So I broke the bad news to him and invited him to come here. We may get a few new faces.

You already did, that's me! And yeah, someone here already offered me a Zack for basically the same price I paid to TW, so once that refund comes in I'm set. Still trying to lock down the second body, I am a huge Zack simp so it's basically a necessity for me to have, but either way I'm extremely thankful you pointed me in the right direction here.

Hmmm the first time I picked EMS, which was okay. But like I said, my Zack didn't move for over a week.
But then he was really fast here. And without any custom taxes! (and all those stamps on the package.. Never saw this before |D)
This time I did pick Hong Kong Post Mail. My Cloud has left now Hong Kong, let's see how long he takes.

As far as Sephiroth I want to say it's worth it? But if I have a choice to go cheaper I definitely will. It was kind of like a impulsive buy as well.
But the details on him is very good. And plus the wing feel like actual feather instead of plastic. And I'm pretty sure that the only Sephiroth that is 1/6.

To be fair, this is likely my only chance to own a brand new one at this late stage after release and he is way more on eBay and Aliexpress. He is well beyond my top end budget for a figure, but I can't say I am not still tempted.

For Zack and cloud you could at least still get the vts version

I don't know how. Maybe they imported it to another country in the EU first. Like Belgium or Netherlands and their import/custom laws are not as strict as Germanys. Thats my guess.

I understand your point of view. I really do. But like I said, I have never read an abuse of data from KGHobby. There were some stores about which I was unsure before I signed up here. OSK, Giantoy, Gundamit, KGHobby, TNS.. Those were all shops I had never heard before. I only had used Aliexpress or eBay till then.
But in the end, I'm happy that I took the risk with KGHobby.
Here in Germany those risks are much higher of getting your data sold to third partys. You just have to sign up on raffle and your telephone is ringing the whole day

yeah who know, there were a member here cancel their AC Cloud, I checked it still said sold out, not sure what happen there. I still trying to cancel mine AC cloud dlx, but they kept sending me bs email about store credit because of the 30 days grace period. and I'm still waiting for Zack extra body refund at this moment. If I still don't see it tomorrow I just going straight to paypal.

Did you mention that this was your second Cloud/Hardy combo? Forgive me for asking, but will you be making use of the second figure?

I understand your point of view. I really do. But like I said, I have never read an abuse of data from KGHobby. There were some stores about which I was unsure before I signed up here. But in the end, I'm happy that I took the risk with KGHobby.

I'm very security conscious and quite particular about who I give my details to.

It's rife here in the UK as well sadly. I am amazed by the number of accident claims I qualify for for accidents I have never had and by amount of money I keep winning from places I have never heard of, lol.

If you can you should get your money back instead of store credit, I haven't have any experience yet, but I heard rumor that they split your store credit into coupon like you can't spend a full amount on a figure, some have said they also jack up the shipping price when you using store credit. Again it just rumors I heard.

Yeah hopefully I get it, My order status change to Awaiting Shipment, so hopefully it ship soon. I think somebody just snatch the Sephiroth off KGHobby so yeah best bet is either ebay or aliexpress. I wouldn't mind aliexpress but sometime they shipping kind of ass. But right now I'm hoping to see if GT would make Vincent Valentine, that would be my instant preorder for sure!
