For the price Gametoys is charging I hope with the extra million years they're taking, they're improving that face sculpt. To me the pale skintone and lifeless stare is just not it. I guess can hold off and wait for Acg sculpt to put on the Gametoys, but at that point it's gonna probably be like a $600 figure by doing that.

Starman is offering pretty good value with movable eyes, decent tailoring, and their figures are usually reasonably priced. It's not perfect but probably the best offering that's not Gametoys or Acg.

Is this a new hs for ACG Art Tifa? Your side by side photo looks like it has the normal earrings she wears.


I agree with you on the part GT Tifa looks lifeless with the blank stare, all I can say is; Have a little faith on GT. I shared in one of my replies in this thread that GT based their Tifa off FFVII Remake’s promotional materials, if you look it up side by side with GT’s Tifa, I’d say it’s spot.

Though, I’m still salty about the GT-006D fiasco, I’m still rooting for GT to bring out the best Tifa merch even if it meant delaying its release. Hoping it would only take as long as Zack’s release (hopefully).

Starman Chun is an excellent figure for the price so I am legitimately tempted by their Tifa. An AC Tifa would be the dream, I know GT are planning one but goodness knows when that's coming out.

There's always the Superduck AC Tifa outfit set. Kinda thought about buying that and the purple dress Tifa.

To be fair though, the body used has enough muscle definition that works for Tifa's physique. The headsculpt is a whole different issue though.

Tifa is just one of those characters that will never really translate from screen to 3D. But I really don't find this HS bad, and Star Man gained a good reputation with their Chun Li.

Superduck is bad too, I'd just say atm sadly there isn't one. But I hope (and suspect) that GT will get theirs right when it finally comes (given that it's also a bit weird and off atm in the proto), so I'll wait for that personally. I mean fair enough if people just want something to represent the character, I used to do that, but these days would rather wait hopefully for something better..

Tbh Based on "prototypes" ive seen, gametoys or toy era are the only ones that caught my eye.

Like I really don't get how this group dragged gametoys through the mud with comparisons and complaints left and right about how lifeless she looks and blah blah.. But THIS is getting praise???? How in the hell? When I saw that I was like "Starman, I fawk with you.. But stick to Street Fighter" No way in hell does this figure "Hurt" Gametoys in any way, shape or form.. Not even close..

There are good angles with the Starman but I think the terrible rooted hair is what's dragging it down. GT likeness was based on the promotional images and others are looking for the in-game likeness. That's where the disconnect stems from with GT.
