Ya... I hope tifa and Noctis release in Q1 2025 as that's what currently on the schedule. That said as long as they are still working on it, that's a good sign as well.

I'm really debating if I want to keep the GT or not now. The thing is there's so many pose options on the p1 (5 of them) and if I try those with the gametoys (the extra arms still aren't smooth-on quality silicone. You can tell), I'd be worried about the arms tearing. I have to sit down and think later before making a rash decision. I do have an extra solo cloud not on Hardy Daytona so I might sell that and keep the one with Hardy.

If they can keep that likeness on point during production it's easily the best representation of any iteration of Cloud out there imo. The more I look at it the more it tempts me, definitely the best of the three.

I have the dream studios tifa and I love the face and don't mind the purple dress, but yeah, I really want a battle outfit good tifa as well and preferably without the nipples sticking out through the dress.

Surprised it's an either/or thing for you. They're just such different products. The best statues will always have a better pose, the format allows for dynamic poses that won't topple over from an awkward center of gravity, while also usually looking more natural, since the body is sculpted into the pose, allowing for correct body mechanics you just can't get with an articulated figure. But I dunno, I'm just always bored with the fact that it can never change. It is what it is, forever. I also highly value real softgoods clothing. Some statues go the extra mile and put them in real clothes, those are always my favorite, but I always find sculpted clothes to feel a bit cheap, even when they're beautifully sculpted and painted. There's just no beating the real material, aesthetically.

I agree about sculpted clothing. I do like gametoys soft goods. My infinity studios Legolas is the best collectible I own (next to my life-sized raptor and T-Rex head) and the soft goods clothes don't look bulky like 1/6 due to the bigger scale.

The only reason why it's one or the other with GT for me is because I'm Canadian. Type in $2000usd to CAD and that's $2782cad. Then add conversion fees and possibly hundreds for duty fees which my American friends never pay importing and then taxes and higher shipping (all this added around $1400 to my Legolas). I can't afford to keep both. I would love to though. I know I'm also kidding myself hoping Cloud will only be $2000USD

I know what you mean about shipping, I was considering P1's Lady D statue until I realised it was going to run me around £2300 including shipping for the DX. I had to duck out at that point, for a 1/4 scale that's silly money. I fully anticipate Cloud will be at least that, if not more - if the standard edition (if it exists) somehow runs less than 2 grand I may bite, though.

LoL, I've actually ordered from them before and they're fine.
The face structure is there, the hair is abit lumpy but probably fine from a distance, I'm willing to bet a repaint will do it wonders though lol.
