Which boss fight are you doing? Do you have any of those helpful potion things you can use? Not actual potions - but there are two that will cast haste/shell/veil/etc.....before the start of the battle. Sometimes that is helpful to do to give you the upper edge in the beginning of the battle - and often times that can make a world of difference.

If you are still stuck - let me know which boss it is (I can't remember going just by the Chapters) and I'll tell you how I did it. Which may not be the best or easiest way - but it worked for me. :duff

I finally beat the chapter 9 boss after over an hour :duh

Is there a point to doing the missions in chapter 11? I can't find the one marker I'm looking for and I wasted time just walking around trying to find it. I would rather move on if this isn't important to the story. My characters are all leveled up.

You get some nice rewards if you do - are you talking about fixing up that robot thing of Vanille's?

In chapter 11, helping the little robot thing in Vanille's house gets you a lot of money.

Edit. Jen beat me by a minute.

Jen FTW! :lol :lol

Hey Keith - I had trouble finding them all at first - but then I backtracked to when you first enter that town and was able to find the rest. I think one of them is in a room/bunker thing before you even get to the bunker with the robot. And one is toward the end on the train track type things - just check around - they usually have a red circle where you can spot them.

I didn't even get that far. I was talking about the floating stones in the field. You have to find them and then go kill a specific target.

Oh - well I'm pretty sure that is how I got some of my catalysts and you get great CP. Some act as warp stones so you can revisit other areas where you have also activated a warp stone. Also once you do certain number - I want to say 12 but it may be more like 15 you can ride the chocobos and they can sniff out treasure. Those gold nuggets they find are worth A LOT!

But no, it is not crucial for the story. I did it to ride the chocobos - I love those things - and build up my characters. But if yours are already built up, then I guess there is no need.

If you open up the map menu - you will see a red star - that is your target. HOWEVER, some targets are in other areas -- some you have to back track to where you were before the field - kind of a more mountainous area. But if you look for the star it will steer you in the right direction.

I beat it. I think I'm going to take a break to play GOW III, then start hitting the side quests.

Barthandalus' final form was a pain, but the last two bosses were easy
.

that's where I'm at on chapter 11 too. I have missions 1 & 2 down. there's some serious CP farming goin on :D

Yeah I haven't played in a few days. I'm taking another break. I haven't been much of a huge gamer lately so this one is pushing me to my limits.

I prob won't play until later on tonight

Yeah I played a good bit yesterday. I did a bunch of the missions in chapter 11. I did up to 20 and then have some random ones. I think I'm just about at chapter 12.

Still going on chapter 11. Im killing everything thought really quick. Guess I should just stop and finish this game.

I've beaten the game, but there was a decrease in the amount of cutscenes towards the end. And I'm kinda jonesing to watch some of those again, so maybe I'll start a new game.

I've about hit my wall. I just don't even care or feel like playing it anymore. I'm at the end of chapter 11 and just feel like I want to be done. I will play through to the end but damn. Long games just aren't for me. Give me a good 10 hour game. It takes me about a week to beat one of those. I just don't have too much time to invest in games. :lol

I know what you mean. :lol

I love Dragon Age but dang 80 hours...it wiped me out and I couldn't get into Assassin's Creed 2 or Mass Effect 2 b/c I was worn out, had to play a FPS to recharge my batteries.

I hate short games. I don't feel like I get my money's worth out of most of them.

Anyway, I'm going to do everything I can in this game until Red Dead Redemption comes out. I'm getting ridiculously strong. I have ultimate weapons with Fang, Light, and Hope. With most of the crystal levels full. I think my Snow has around 30,000 hit points.

UGH! I thought this game was only 12 chapters. Just started 13 I guess. I will pick this up tomorrow. :banghead

You're almost done. :D Though I was about to pull my hair out in 13 - it's just one battle after another...after another...after another. I couldn't wait for it to be over with. :lol
