****in can't wait for this game. Final Fantasy is one of the main reasons I haven't completely switched over to pc gaming. This one looks different but awesome as well!

Well, to this day, I've played every single FF game and haven't beaten a single one. I came extremely close in FF X, when I maxed out the abilities on all of my character, but decided to call it quits a few hours before I had to battle Sin. I think I had school or something the next day .

This does look awesome, though.

Not much of this is new... they just turned Versus XIII and renamed it XV.

At least we know the FF we all wanted is finally going to be coming out.

I miss the good old simple turn based action, but this does look really cool and the leviathan looks awesome!

I've only cleared 10& 10#2, got to the final bosses on 8&9 but couldn't defeat them and came very near the end of both 7,12&13.I always seem to do all the sidequest and get all the ultimate weapons and summons and then just loose all steam to finish the actual story!


I've started playing the older games too on the psp, go bless psn!

This is exactly what I felt. Which could be a great great thing. Final Fantasy I don't think needs to go back to turn based. They were fun back in the day, but I thought the combat in 13 was excellent. Some hated it, but I loved the hell out of it.

I wouldn't say turn based it out dated nor is random encounters. Pokemon is full of random encounters and well those games kicks ***! Turn based can still very well be awesome, but it has to be used in the right game for it to work.

Nah, I believe having non turn-based (or so fast that it's not noticeable turn-based) is much more engaging.

I'd probably still play Pokemon if it actually changed from the past 10 years.

Oh I agree non turn based is much more engaging, but it also leaves out some of the strategy imo. Like I said it has to be the RIGHT game for turn base to truly work now a days. I totally agree though 13 and 13-2 did random encounters perfectly. You were able to skip most of the encounters if you didn't feel like fighting.
