That's what I get for not watching things in the proper order. :lol

now you know what people in the US felt like watching the series initially (Fox showed episode 4 first... as they felt it had 'more action' than the pilot) ...no wonder people didn't take to it straight away  Good old Fox

I just saw Saving Private Ryan again the other day and isn't Nathan in that? Playing the guy they mistakenly think is Private Ryan?

Anyway, he's in a new movie coming out.....damn what's the name of it......ahhhhhhhh.......White Noise 2 I believe. Probably will suck, but I'll watch it for him.

Edit: woops...that movie came out a year ago...strange I just saw a trailer for it the other day. :lol

Yes it is Nathan in that scene from "Saving Private Ryan". It was one of my favorite scenes in the movie... even before I was a Nathan Filllion fan. And was AWESOME as Caleb, the 7th seaon Buffy baddie.

You should also check out Nathan in the film "Slither" as well. I usually don't like horror films, but this one was a real hoot... and very gooey.

Now It seems Nathan does now have a steady gig on TV. He is on Desperate Housewifes. Seems ole Nathan is "desperate" himself.

And in regards to White Noise II... it was planned for a theatrical release last year but was pulled and put on the shelf. It has been only recently that a trailer has surfaced advertising it's direct-to-DVD status.

Slither was absolutely awesome. Best intentional b-movie I've seen in years. When it came out, it was easily the funniest movie in theaters. Gross as hell, though. :lol

I also discovered Firefly way after it ended its doomed television run. I know I'll take a lot of heat for saying this, but I never was a fan of Buffy/Angel, so I had zero interest in watching the "other" Whedon show. Fast forward a few years later, and my friend forced me to borrow his Firefly box. The wife and I very reluctantly watched the first disc...and then couldn't stop. The series was absolutely brilliant, and we were very upset when the discs were through.

The movie, however? Not so much. Now, I liked Serenity...to a point. I just think the needless deaths didn't add anything to the plot and just seemed excessive. I bought the dvd, but haven't unwrapped it. I haven't had any desire to revisit it since the theater. :monkey3

Man, same with me. I can't stand the Buffy and Angel stuff (although the original movie was fun) so that was a barrier for me as well. But the show is so totally kickass, really shows some versatility.

I discovered the "Firefly" universe through watching "Star Wars Episode III" ten times at the theater in the summer of 2005. The film had the "Serenity" trailer on it EVERY SINGLE time I watched it, wherever I watched it. It started to get under my skin... I then borrowed the TV series from a friend because I wanted to be well-versed in that universe before I saw "Serenity".
I ended up finishing the series only a few days before the film opened. Talk about timing. :D

In many ways, I'm glad I saw the series when I did. I don't think I would have enjoyed "the FOX shuffle" of episodes... it was great to watch the series in the sequence it was originally intended, including the ones never aired.

I've never seen a single episode of either show and don't really care to. But I do think Firefly was great.

Well, I HATED I mean HATED Buffy. I honestly don't know why, but I think it has to do with thinking Sarah Michelle Gellar is the devil. ANGEL was a really good show, I really enjoyed that one; was pissed off that the execs that decided to cancel Angel ending up themselves getting fired and then it was too late to save the show. That sucked.

I actually saw Serenity during a test screening about a year before it was released in theaters and had never heard of the show. I loved the movie and then subsequently watched and loved the show. Too bad Fox are idiots. They would rather cancel Family Guy, Futurama, Firefly and keep crap like American Idol and King of the Hill.....

I just put the show in my Netflix que to see what all the fuss is about.

Hope it's better than the ****ty movie :monkey1
