Hearing Flashpoint was scrapped for a more "Homecoming-esque" movie...?

Have there even been any whispers as to when filming may actually start? Feels like this poor movie has been getting dragged around for 10 years now.

Flashpoint is a bad idea for DC right now- I have a feeling Affleck will star in The Batman and some soft remolding of the franchise will be done.

WB is so happy now that Solo has out-flopped JL

I am glad they have scrapped flashspoint and will go ahead with a solo flash movie according to the rumors. Concentrate on making quality solo films find your identity then bring out the team up movies.

If Affleck got booted and Leto really didn't come back, I'd say Flashpoint would be perfect for a soft reboot. But with what it looks like the line up will be, I think it would be best to save Flashpoint. Big thing is to convey why Barry loves his mother so much. Also it would be a nice way to introduce time travel and hopefully some kind of multiverse tale. Show the different tales of the DCU.

All this and the newly announced Leto Joker film to me looks like WB isn't going to change the line-up of the current DCEU. Bet Affleck stars in The Batman

Batfleck isn't going to be Batman again. He's been burned twice by BvS and JL. Besides, the older he gets, the less chance he's going to get in shape for the role.

Only reason I disagree is that he doesn't really have much lined up. I feel he want to be Batman but he isn't a fan of WB. I think he was being pressured with his movie and is why he stepped down using some bs excuse that he has no experience doing a Hollywood blockbuster.

Also he didn't get burned for BvS. A lot burned on casting but many agree his live action was amazing. He did get dogged for JL but that is all Whedon.

I don't think his personal life is going great, which is the wildcard

We will see what happens but he will be doing one more turn(at least) as Batman and I doubt it's the RUMORed SS2

I believe it will be the Flash. Rumor is, and makes sense with the directors, that Batman will be in Flash ala Stark to Peter in HC. I could see it happening or in the BoP movie.

I agree. I don't mind a small role like Joker in SS. I don't like these whole mentor things. It was okay in Solo, but I'm just not feeling it.

I agree and actually noted this a while back. I think his personal issues (divorce, alcoholism, etc.) caught up with him a bit and that's also why he stepped away from the Batman movie.

It's a shame that..IN MY OPINION...the casting for the DC Cinematic Universe has been pretty damn solid (with the exception of surfer-dude Aquaman...not a big fan but eh-it could be worse...). I was on the Batffleck train early on, I doubted Gadot a bit but she's done alright, and I always like Cavill. Ezra Miller and the dude-that-plays-Cyborg were pretty good. It's unfortunate that WB is just ruining it all with cruddy writing and poor movies...
