I took a quick look at my SS pieces to see which were done by Trevor, and to my suprise (well not really)...I literally ONLY have Trevor pieces

Trev, I just saw your sig. :rock Any chance of you doing or have you done a Tom Waits sculpt?

Batty- I have yet to sculpt Tom...but I'm absolutely DYING to. I hope I'll get to do some cool Waits sculptures in the future. Something really imaginative like a Waits song. I'd love to experiment with some bronze pieces.

Hi guys!

I am a Premium Format kinda guy. I love the different materials used on a piece and I think the clothing is as high of a quality you can get for a 1/4 scale. Fantasic work from Greg Mowry of Geppetto Productions...

But the one thing that can make or break a piece is the likeness and the Sculpts by Trevor Grove are second to none. There are many great sculptors out there and this is in no way a put down on the other artists, but in my opinion, Trevor can get a spot on likeness like no one else.

Gandalf is the last proof of it and if you go to his site you can see the many likeness his done for dioramas, PFs and 1/6 scale figures and know what I'm talking about.....

The way I see it, Trevor in conjunction with Geppetto productions gave us not just a Premium Format Figure, but a piece of art. That is one of the reasons I was happy about the exclusive for Gandalf because I'm getting a whole extra portrait by Trevor Grove. In my book that is a plus....

My last point is that I think it is amazing that Jack Sparrow PF, one of the most difficult likenesses to capture, was not given to Trevor, considering he is the best out there. Maybe he was too busy, or maybe Sideshow knows that somebody else can do as good of a job as Trevor, but to me, Jack is the one I've been waiting for, saving all my reward points and all, and if the likeness is not as good as it could be, then everyone will understand my point.

So, although I know the credit goes to a lot of people in a production of a piece, I wanted to dedicate this thread to Mr. Grove because he has really made my love of PFs a love for fine art.

Cheers :duff

Trevor not getting to sculpt Jack could have something to do with Disney. Hopefully whoever does it will do as good of a job.

It's too bad the paint job on his first Indy wasn't as good as the second one. The sculpt is perfect.

I'm saving up my SS points for Jack as well. I'm sure it's going to be alittle more expensive since it's Disney.

That would be extremely cool! If you ever do a Waits sculpt, please let us see.

TWENTY-TWO?????
I don't know whether to be awestruck (and btw, I am) or just hate him for being so good at such a young age.
Kudos to you young sir!
If I had your ability I'd never see my family because I would be adding that "just on more" sculpt to my 1:6 collection.

And what's very cool (not to be corny) is that Trevor seems like a genuinely cool dude. If you need proof just look at the Firefly project; guys A-okay in my book :rock
