If things keep going the way they are, then no. But I don't think the way things are going have anything to do with America. The government that runs this country, and the people who support their policies aren't American. America is an ideology, and they have no right to claim allegiance to it.

Such as it is, America does not deserve the blame for it. However, were the ideology to take back the political-geographic region known as the United States, then yes, the debt would be repaid. I take umbrage at the accusation that dishonoring debts is the American thing to do.
