Re: Freaks Fantasy Football League
Ok, changing players is a piece of cake. If somebody is injured or just plain sucks or if you have too many players with the same bye week you can fix that. Go to your team page and at the top will be an “ADD” option. Hit that and then use the drop down menus to sort through the available players anyway you like until you find what you are looking for. Then hit the green + right next to their name to add. It will then go to the team screen where you will have to pick which player on your team you want to drop (click on the box next to their name.) Pick the player and continue through… you now have a new player. You can drop / add as many times as you want, I didn’t put a max on transactions.
The clear flag next to the names on the player lists you can click on to add that player to your Watch list. Those are players you want to keep an eye on but don't want to add right now. You can see your entire watch list from the "My Watch List" option on your team page.
The FA is for Free Agent and the W(?) is Wavers (Days Remaining.) Any player dropped will be on “wavers” for 2 days which means you will have to put in a claim for them. Just add them like any normal player but instead of them being added to your team right away they will be in limbo and the person with the lowest waver status number (listed on the league standings page) who put in a claim gets them after the 3 days are over. (IE.. I have waver number 8 and you are 5 so if we both put in a claim for somebody on wavers you will get him. After you get him your waver number goes to 12 and everyone else moves up… so I will go to 7.) After 2 days if nobody puts in a claim they become FA’s and anyone can add them right away.
You can drop anyone you want with the exception of the guys with the red stop signs next to their names (you can see them on your team list when you hit "DROP".) Most online leagues started this a few years ago. Those are the Superstars and the reason you can’t drop them is to stop teams who are out of it from dumping all their players and the top teams being able to pick them up. You can still trade those players you just can not drop them. Those can change during the season though. Lets say Aaron Rogers is injured in week 3 and is out for the season, his non drop status will go away and the owner will be able to drop him and get somebody else to replace him.
Trades: You can offer a trade to anyone in the league. On your team page go to “TRADE” and it will list all the teams. Then click on TRADE next to the team you want to trade with and select which players you want. At the bottom you will pick which players you want to trade off your roster. Next will recap the trade offer and if you want to add a note to the owner you can. When everything is good hit "SEND TRADE OFFER" and the other owner will now get to accept or reject the offer. If accepted it will automatically swap the players so you don’t need to do anything. The other owner can also reject or make counter offer and you will see those on your team page. Any trade can be Vetoed by the other owners as well. So, if somebody wants to make a very lopsided trade and enough of us say no it will not go through. Vetoes rarely happen but keep it in mind if you agree to trade Aaron Rogers for Colt McCoy.
Whew…. hopefully that covers everything. If anyone still has questions let me know.
