Ok... I finally got a chance to watch a few videos of Mariah Carey's New Year performance.

The real problem is that her earpiece was not staying in her right ear. Several times throughout the performance you can see her hunting around for it with her right hand. There were times when you can see it dangling behind and in front of her.

She tried to wing it but clearly she was pissed.
She did not appear to be intoxicated.
Yes she could have handled the situation better but you can tell she wanted to perform at her best because she was upset as she walked off.
I feel so bad for her. Really did not seem to be her fault.

However you do have to admit, when she was lip syncing, she was off bad! Many times her mouth wasn't moving when her song was still playing and on the final song she put her mic next to a dancers face looked away and the song was still going.

Mariah is like David Lee Roth now, can't carry a note to save her life.

Such a shame cause I liked her back in the 90's before she became a diva and now someone who thinks they are too good for everyone.

See I actually think she failed badly. Sure the earpiece may have been an issue, but that doesn't prevent her from knowing her song. Also, she didn't even rehearse the event. She merely had a stand-in go through rehearsal instead. So that's on her. As a performer, she needed to be able to adjust to the situation rather than get all pissy. It was glorious laziness on her part. Her dancers kept performing but she stopped singing, getting the crowd to finish for her. She is just a brat imo.

Hey guys, I need your good thoughts...... My studio shut down and so I'm out of work yet again . I think I'm at a bit of a crossroadss. Really thinking about getting out of the gaming industry. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. Argh!!!!!

That sucks. What kind of work do you do for the gaming industry? Have you worked for Activision before? Reason I ask, I have some very solid connections there.

I'm sorry to hear about your turn of bad luck, Veil.

You are a talented artist from what I've seen here. I'm sure that your talents would be extremely valued somewhere other than gaming. My advice, take a look around and see what's available. Who knows, maybe this turn of events could end up being a great opportunity for you!

I've predominately been in casual and mobile games. The ones I've been working on for the last 2 years are the Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj mobile games. They didn't do as well as the Kim Kardashian game did, so Glu kicked our asses to the curb. I haven't worked for Activision before, but triple A game companies hasn't really been my specialty. Thanks for thinking of that Lance, I may hit you up after I do a little research into what they are working on in the Seattle area.
