Howdy all! Been MIA during a rough few months since Spook and Secret Santa. My father-in-law passed away in March after a tough battle with cancer, and a sudden additional battle with lung disease. I don't want to damper this thread or anything, it's been tough, but we're doing our best on this end. I did want to apologize to who had me for Secret Santa, as I know they mailed it to him and so I wasn't able to receive it until recently, after my wife shipped everything back that was there.

I know it's all small potatoes in the big picture, but I contacted Zod to find out who had me so that I could confirm what was sent and thank them. Just didn't want them to think I wasn't grateful or decided not to post after receiving the gift. So once I find out who it was, I'll make a post here!

Sorry to hear about the health issues on your end man. It definitely does, it definitely does. I truly hope the best opportunity for a healthy and able bodied future presents itself to you soon.

I'm glad for once my latest health issues aren't physical ones. Diagnosed severe depression/anxiety this week. Another pill for the box.

Anyways, I'm trying to think of something amazing or crazy to make as a prize for Spook this year... and if anyone is in the group on FB from last year, Juan is moving to the state I'm in soon, so that means extreme crazy **** is going to go down this year. I don't know what... but shoving the two of us together is dangerous.

Does this count as copying? The way I figure it it's a picture of a Post about a post, so it isn't a direct copy because it includes DS's post with the picture of his post. Plus, it comes AFTER his post, so that makes my entry a post-post about a post.

DARTH MADDEN’S 13,000th POST CONTEST

Who would have thought that for being here so long I’d only have 13,000 posts? I guess quality over quantity.

CONTEST: The first 13 people to post a picture of a post (yes you read that correctly) will be entered on the wheel of misfortune for a chance at the Super 13 Prize Pack which will contain 13 (as yet to be determined) items. It must be a unique post, you can’t copy somebody else’s picture.

I know the thread has been a little dead lately so if we don’t get 13 posts I will cut this off around 6:00 PM Pacific Time Saturday night and spin the wheel with what we have.

So far we have 11 participants in the 13,000th post contest... room for 2 more. And I talked it over with the lawyers and we will let mrdbios's entry slide this time but in the future it won't count. There still are a couple of variations of "post" that I was thinking people could use but nobody has yet... maybe the last two will.

I had just gotten the news from my doctor yesterday and don't really have any other outlet to share nowadays. I basically left Facebook a while back. Anyways...

Glad I made it into the contest Madden!

Didn't detract from it at all. I wasn't posting it for sympathy (though it's all greatly appreciated!) but more to let people know where I'd vanished off to. We're all buddies here, so vent away and use it as an outlet all you need. Sometimes it's good just to get things out there after receiving news like that so you can help process it a bit.

Well, now I feel bad for going right back to the contest so I hope golden and patriot (and everyone else for that matter) all stay strong and know whatever bad stuff comes up just stay strong and you will get through it and come out fine.
