That was going to be my second guess, but Crows put 10.3 pounds... so not sure if that's what he meant or not... even thought that is different from 10 lbs 3 oz. not sure what form the weight is supposed to be guessed in...

It is different.
16oz = 1 lb

So 10.3 lbs is more like 10 lbs 5 oz.

Also, how does his scale read... is he converting all the XX lb Xoz answers to decimal and vice versa? Does his scale read only in decimal like 9.86 lbs? Or does it break it down into 9 lbs 13.76 oz? Does he have the correct answer in both forms so he knows if it is guessed correctly in each version?
