I think I can explain the T2 filming situation. It was supposed to start filming much earlier than October 1990, but there were legal disputes, so it was delayed, and production was shortened:

After a troubled pre-production characterized by legal disputes, Mario Kassar of Carolco Pictures emerged with the franchise's property rights in early 1990. This paved the way for the completion of the screenplay by a Cameron-led production team, and the October 1990 start of a shortened 186-day filming schedule.

That's actually a really cool way to go about choosing a winner! I was debating the same thing on how it'd all come together with mine, but I just went the simple route once I decided to just ask questions. It's tough coming up with entertaining contests!

Well it is a cat! I've got three...you don't tell them when to do something, they decide themselves! I can only imagine Zod sitting there going, "Come on Frankie, just lick one! Sniff it! Anything!"
