Re: Spooktacular 2014

My wife has been trying to get invited! She got answers 1-4 right, but can't figure out Susan's favorite comic book character.

Re: Spooktacular 2014

The first numbers were 3, 3, and 8. Mixed and matched = 383. The closest post count to that number is furystorm! He wins his choice of Funko figure from Alien, Freddy, Jason, Hannibal Lecter, Evil Dead Ash, and Sam.

Re: Spooktacular 2014

I may or may not have made a deal with the devil this Halloween to end my streak of always losing contests. I'm trying to give back so I don't becoming an annoying piece of **** -- unless it's too late for that. :lol

Re: Spooktacular 2014

Because I'm in a celebratory mood, I was thinking of doing another contest later tonight.

Would there be any interest in this poster?

View attachment 142003

If there is sufficient interest, I will be back later to conduct a contest. It will probably be while the Saints are playing. I have not decided what the contest will be yet, but if the Saints are doing well, it will be an easier contest. If they are not doing well, then I will make the contest a bit harder. Based on how the Saints have been doing, I'll be putting some thought into a harder contest.

OK, so the Saints game just began. Time for me to start my contest.

Remember, you are playing for the poster in my quote above. It measures approximately 18" x 24".

The contest involves guessing two things:

First, you need to guess my favorite color.

Second, you need to guess how many miles I've walked this year.

The band on my wrist in the picture is a Fitbit, a type of pedometer. I got it exactly one year ago tomorrow, so it has been collecting data on my walking for the entire year. I took a screen cap of my data, so I have a record of how far I've walked as of this moment.

The person who comes closest to guessing how many total miles I've walked this year wins the poster.

Some background information that may be helpful. I am a teacher, and am rarely at my desk. I also like hiking, but cannot go as often as I'd like.

So that's all you have to do. Guess how far I've walked. So how does my favorite color come into play? If you correctly guess my favorite color, I will automatically move your guess 100 miles in either direction towards my actual mileage. Guessing my favorite color automatically puts you 100 miles closer to my total distance.

Rules:
You only get one guess.
You must post your guess to BOTH my favorite color and walking milage in this thread.
I will stop the contest at half time for the Saints/Packers game. I will then look over, make any necessary calculations, and declare a winner.
The person who guesses closest (either lower or higher) to my total milage for the past year (including any 100 mile help they get from guessing my favorite color) gets the poster.
I will cover the shipping for ANYBODY who wins this contest.

Good Luck
