Aw don't be a lead balloon! I'm hoping the new and improved ones turn out great. Hope you like it Armored and it arrives safe.

All I know is when I sell something I make, I kill myself filling all the air pockets and then primering it to make sure its perfect as possible so the customer is happy and my name wont be put to shame.

With that said both busts I got have similar issues :mad::mad::mad:

This is out of the new batch and I was told Im being sent the best ones over the phone. Fred, when you get back from vacation dont call me, these arent worth the near $1,000 I paid shipped with tax. I would pay $550 if it came with small pints of the paint to go with it.

Sorry to see all those issues on the new one mate. Not up to an acceptable standard for sure. I might request Sideshow inspect mine before shipping cos I won't be accepting that quality either and would feel the way you do.
It's a shame that with such a small run those air pockets in the mold and poor paint apps should have been easily fixed during production if someone was taking pride in their work.

FRIG!! Im freaking out now. Made my last payment on flex 2 days ago and its alreading in my country. I should get it tomorrow or the next day. Im fairly certain mine will look shotty. Curse you Fred barton if it is. Taking al our hard earn money and sending CRAP. No pride in his work clearly!! Even if mine is perfect which i doubt it is. I feel sorry for these poor blokes receiving scrap resin as far as im concerned. Ill let you guys know when i open him up. AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!

Nailed it!! pride in ur work.. :clap bring a couple of good pieces out and then slack off on the rest. Not really proffessional. You sure old fred isnt a politition on the side :gah:

I'm really sorry yours arrived in less than stellar shape. at least you can return it to Sideshow for a full-refund, right?

I'm not digging the new paint job at all. It's just too much...but i think it looks that bad because you used a flash when photographing the piece. Under your photos lighting conditions the armor and helmet are incredibly vivrant and the face looks very dull and washed out...which i believe is from the flash.

Nah brah, I think you should hold on. This bust is very limited in number, 250 pieces. And don't worry I won't be surprised one bit if they pushed it back even more. We've been waiting since last year oct or november and we've been receiving the standard monthly delay emails.

250 edition ??? where did you hear that. I heard 500 originally but im pretty sure its an open edition. Who knows how many were made. Maybe 250 of them were defects bahahahaha by the looks of it. If you get it in great condition ur laughing:rotfl but if you dont, Well, ur:medic

LTD to 250

Guys I got two of these directly from the artist. The flash isnt changing anything you see. They used an excessive amount of blue. Triple what robo 2 had. All they had to do was with a cheap paint brush paint in the resin and pull the airpockets out and then pour the larger amount resin and do the roto casting. Again on the phone he said he was sending me his best ones. This is sad work for a guy that has done great work. I intend on returning both or discount these and I will repaint them. If not I will call visa or take him to court. I'm sure it won't get to that point but with all the info on this thread this would be a open and shut case.

OK i was mistaken. So the most recent one you got was your 2nd bust you ordered directly through Fred...not Sideshow. I'm guessing that this most recent bust you posted pics of is from the "New and Improved" run.

I got both 10 days ago direct from Fred.

Hi guys
Here's mine , from here it's perfect but I can assure that there are a lot of small problems ... I decide to keep it cause I love Robocop , but I'm sad if I think to the insane price for importing from US directly from Fred :(
By the way it remain a great piece , unfortunately is far from the perfection

Got mine today and im NOT HAPPY guys. Where to begin hey. Well first off im not sure how everyone else got theirs but mine came in just the shipper with a few foam incerts and a bunch of paper.

I unwrap him and my plaque falls straigh off with glue and scuff marks all on the base over glued in some areas so the scuff marks are visable even when i line the plaque up to cover them.

above the chest plate on the shoulder i have 2 hairs that have been painted over and are stuck in the paint work.

The back off the head has dangling bits of glue from the top dome.
His face has what looks like a stanly knife cut through the resin and has not been painted over to well. Leaving the white unpainted look.

Uneven paint above the rim of both chest plates that give it the wavy effect look that no one wants to see on a collectible.
A few air bubbles. But standing back he does look amazing.

The face mask connecting to the dome isnt even on one side.
And the strange thing is that my edition number is under 70 which would suggest i have one of the first batches out. Which is weird because i went on the waitlist 3 months ago and when one came up i was notified. If anything i should of gotten a later edition as these are suppose to be the last batch out!!

It would seem i have gotten a return that someone else had aquired and was not happy with so some answers need to be given from sideshow.

To many problems for the dollar spent and sideshow are obviously aware of these problems so questions remain:

Why didnt they check the later batches going out to not stuff us over ???

And why atatch your companies name to such a product that has clearly so many faults ???

It would seem i handed my money over to sideshow for them and fred so i can do the work he clearly cant and chose not to do. Not happy to say the least!!!

Anyone out there that can give me an insight as to how theirs arrived boxing wise???

Thanks guys

End rant!!!

I Will add some pictures during the week. For now its on to Sideshow :gah::gah::gah:

Thats not right though. Your out of pocket now and without a piece. Sorry to hear that mate. Its a shame because the piece without the flaws is unbelievable and standing back its one of thos pieces you just cant stop looking at. Keep me posted how sideshow handle it for you mate. I to will be seeing what can be done. I want to keep him but i will be wanting a big discount for the trouble and the fact of the things i have to fix :slap
