I have 206$ sideshow credit, not sure if I use it with the reg to ease my wallet pain or put in other PO while waiting for my WL to convert,, tell now dont know someone who got his WL converted in the past two weeks!

Thanks for the pics Barbarian.
This PF has the best likeness of Freddy yet.
No problem, Centurion. I totally agree.

Search your feelings, Hemooo. :)

This angle makes the body posture look unnatural. I don't mean this as a mean-spirited rip, but more as constructive advice. I think it would be very beneficial for the Sideshow sculptors to study body mechanics and movement. Too many times I can't convince myself to buy an otherwise gorgeous piece like this simply because the posture and pose look too wonky. I even sold my Exclusive Predator 1 maquette for that reason alone.

This pose isn't very bad, but stand in front of a mirror, and try to duplicate this pose exactly, and feel how strained your body gets. If his right leg were out more, it would make all the difference, but it seems like they forced it in so he fit on that base.

His eye position also suggests he's looking at and offering the doll to somebody taller than himself, which leave me wondering what the story is that this piece is supposed to be telling. Now, if the irises were looking down, his eyelid shape would make him look maniacal and give the impression he was taunting a small child by holding the doll over her head.

Why do I bother with these comments? Not to tear Sideshow up. I really want to love this piece, but I can't. Hopefully egos won't prevent everybody from seeing how things could have been better done. Yes, it's too late now to make changes, but, hey, I'm not in a position to offer helpfull suggestions when it's appropriate.

...bitter much...

I'd agree the pose could perhaps be better, I haven't seen him in hand yet so it could grow on me. I really needed a Freddy in the collection though and when this one was announced I thought perfect!

*Puts on 'Nightmare' fan hat* :)

Freddy, although played by a human actor and as such may incoorporate more human poses because of it, is also playing a demon, so in my eyes the character would have no issue holding any kind of pose because frankly....pain due to uncomfortable stances would just not exist for the character.

But again, since he is played by a human being, so I can see where stance criticism comes into play.

Buuuut....he mainly taunts/tortures adults/young adults in the films once he's become his 'dead'/demon self. So, if this is taking place in 'his' world (that awesome boiler room) I would imagine in the not too far distance a pretty freaked out teen that Freddy is taunting/staring down. The 'victim' isn't necessarily standing right in front of him all the time.

Just all my opinion as a fan of the film series and nothing else.

Obviously I can see/understand other's viewpoints too! :)

:lecture This.

He's taunting the adult woman he took the doll from when she was a very young girl. He's back in her dreams once again to do more, well... what Freddy's good at doing. :wave

I love the pose!

It could be he's getting ready to strike. IMO, SS did a good job on this one based on the pics.

I for one feel relief that there are no initial issues. He looks awesome from the few pics posted.

#30/400 in the house! I'll try to take some pics later tonight guys- it's just that busy time of the year!

The bottom line: he looks AMAZING. The sculpt is fantastic, no retarded looking eyes either. The light up base really adds a creepy essence to the piece. :rock :clap

i for one dont like the pose BUT im a huge freddy fan & have always wanted a 1/4 scale addition so yes i ordered it & and am waiting for him to be shipped. pics are nice tho :)

That looks awesome, but I still find myself disliking the pose. This could have been so much more. Why oh why is the glove behind him? Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to owning this... but I am disappointed. Seeing the pics makes me think how awesome this could have been if the pose was changed. From the pictures everything about it is sick, except the pose. :( Maybe in 5 years we can get another NOES PF. :)

I can also see your view. That's cool. I guess it comes down to how the viewer perseves Freddy to begin with. :hi5: All my comments aside, there is a lot of good 'tension' in the pose.

just opened mine he looks great and the light up base was a great unexpected surprise I was planning to give him to my brother for Christmas but now I might just keep him :monkey3
