Marvel will let it pass. There are far better money making opportunities that they can't even get on the table with their limited resources, that they're having to schedule in well down the line so it all plays out consistently with what they've already established.

Now with all that said, I don't think we will be getting a Loki standalone. But I don't view you people as somehow superior because you enjoy female eye-candy. As I recall regarding Black Widow in Avengers, it was all "ooooo dat @ss!" - and yet women looking at Hiddleston is somehow wrong and uncool. Ha, nice dichotomy you got going on there.

If it was all about money, they'd keep doing Iron Man films. The fact that they even agreed to cut him back to a secondary character who'll only appear in the next two Avengers completely goes against any "theory" you've proposed. Your argument is invalid.

p.s. they're not doing more IM films not because they are tired of IM, but because AFAIK Downey's contract for standalone IM films ran out. Invalid.

Not to mention, they just went back and shot more scenes with Hiddleston due solely to fan's demand for more of the character. Ooops! Inconvenient invalidation!
