p.s. they're not doing more IM films not because they are tired of IM, but because AFAIK Downey's contract for standalone IM films ran out. Invalid.

Not to mention, they just went back and shot more scenes with Hiddleston due solely to fan's demand for more of the character. Ooops! Inconvenient invalidation!

Good then they should be contempt with that. Only fangirls who weirdly drool over Tom want a loki movie. Nobody gave a **** about loki til he played the role. A stand alone loki film ...... Would probably bring in the twilight type money. Idk.

I bet Marvel likes all US currency, its all green and Marvel don't care if its coming from a fangirl, or from a "serious fan." Money is money. It all spends equally.

Now with all that said, I don't think we will be getting a Loki standalone. But I don't view you people as somehow superior because you enjoy female eye-candy. As I recall regarding Black Widow in Avengers, it was all "ooooo dat @ss!" - and yet women looking at Hiddleston is somehow wrong and uncool. Ha, nice dichotomy you got going on there.

the thing with Black Widow is that, that's what she is there for basically. She is eye candy, Scarlett Johansson's acting is Not that good. (at least not as good as the rest of the cast)

I know she might be an important character but as far as the movie goes, I am pretty sure one of the reasons they hired her was for how she would look on that tight suit alone.
Looking good was pretty much her purpose.

And yet Marvel is under contract to pay RDJ more money to play IM in A2 and A3 than he made off of the three IM movies combined. Money is the only argument.

Point being, it's a supporting role, vs. ****-canning the entire cinematic universe to capitalize on dollar signs. Money isn't the "only argument" or they wouldn't be taking obvious risks like GotG and Antman. Hell, if $$$ were truly the only incentive with how well Hulk was received, they would've fast-tracked a Hulk flick instead of Thor, or the previously mentioned films.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with women (or men) drooling over Hiddleston, I just don't think it would translate to box office success. A stand alone Black Widow film would be equally disastrous financially.

I agree. Though I'm not a big Hiddleston fan, I don't understand all the hate. I'd see it if they made it simply because I like Marvel movies.

I agree with you on Ant-Man. I'm really nervous about that one because it just seems a bit....comical.
