Oh, no. Here we go again...

It is only one picture, and a small, grainy one at that. Not to mention the angle of the photo is less than ideal. From what I can see so far, it looks good to me, but I'll wait until larger, clearer, better-composed pics are up before I make any decisions.

Your joking right?!?! It may just be the worst photo ever to represent a product, but I seriously doubt that. That thing needs some SERIOUS work, it looks nothing like Frodo and doesn't even represent the character imo, he looks more scared for his wallet then scared for his life. On the bright side the likeness would make a great Dudley Moore.

Well I'll reserve final judgement until I see Sideshow's "official" Frodo pics,
but I'm not that impressed with Frodo so far from that picture. The likeness
especially doesn't look like EW any closer than the 1:6th statue did to me.

We shall see though..........

Well based on that picture, I'm not very impressed. I actually don't like it very much. The face is the least concerning thing to me and I'm ok with it. The clothes and the hair on the feet are another story.

However, I reserve judgement until I see more photo's but based on that small grainy one, this is my opinion.

I'm not buying it for you or your LOTR collection I'll be buying it for mine and for my 2 cents it looks a lot like EW and looks great. The coat seems to be a little off but other than that I'll take it!!!

The photo, while not the best angle, does a pretty good job of capturing the likeness. If you get to look at the composite that others had made, and compare it to this picture, I think you might get a better idea of what to expect. The profile shot of the portait seems to be just an odd angle. I think the outfit looks pretty good in terms of the clothing, but the outfit could use a little more weathering. I think this likeness is much better than the SSW version, either the statue or the bust. Both of those pieces have a strangely drawn and narrow cast to the face.

If Frodo's base is the same height as Lurtz's then that's not an 11"-12" figure, as was mentioned in the podcast.

Just going from the super tiny grainy photo (I do appreciate the photo) it doesn't do much for me. I have the SSW statue and I really love it and it is by no means dead on. I just need to see it better to make up my mind.

Not bad together.

I think the Lurtz needs to be just a hair larger. I combined the two in Photoshop, and enlarged the Lurtz until his sword matched exactly, and then carved out the background. Here is how they look:

Lemme give you a little lesson in etiquette and and posting manners Josh. If you say "I love it and am buying it" and I say "Really, i think it is terrible and won't", then you should follow up with something as polite as I did, not "I don't give a **** what you think." If this were a conversation in person it would have ended with "I don't give a sh...." and I would have hit you in your jaw. I'm not attacking your personal opinion, i'm just amazed that people are in awe of a tiny pic that in all fairness makes the piece look like crap. It may look better when it goes up for order, it may not, simple truth is, I don't appreciate haveing my opinion bashed because you can't take a negative comment about something you didn't even do in stride, and it's your "favorite story EVER!!" *laughs like little girl*
