I wouldn't be surprised if Futurama ends up with a 3rd home, I'd love to see them back on Cartoon Network; although maybe they won't put up enough $$$ to make that happen.

My guess would be the best chance of continuing rests on the shoulders of a company like Hulu, Netflix, or even Amazon Prime.

How do shows as boring and lame as The Simpsons or Family Guy last so long, then the one that actually has interesting characters and intelligent humor gets cancelled? TWICE?

Whatever happens to this cartoon, I will continue to watch every rerun they air. Not sure I'll ever get tired of Futurama

While i love Futurama the latest episodes have been so weak, most just parodies of movies. The only good episode this season was Neutopia.

However last season was great and just as good as S1-4

Family guy does baffle me. I don't understand why people watch that crap.

It's funny. Family guy use to be very clever and witty in the early seasons but now there jokes are a hit and miss, the characters are all idiots and the show feels so lazy. They just throw in stupid fourth wall jokes and stupid cutaways that aren't funny anymore. South Park is still funny to this day but family guy is just boring now. I could also due without Seth McFarlane shoving his views in our face through Brian .

The characters in Family Guy have no depth whatsoever. None of them are likable, not even Brian.

It's just like watching a bunch of turds float around in a gas station toilet. There's no point to it. It's simply disgusting and annoying.

I've been enjoying the final episodes... I think I'm an episode behind, but like the last set of new ones I find I like them even more after a second viewing.

Also, just picked up the Destructor/Gender Bender set from BBTS so with those I'll call the collection of Toynami figures done. Probably sell off the GB though since I'm only doing one of each character.

I didn't read any online reactions of Futurama today until I watched the latest episode. So I had no clue what was in store.

If you have been watching some of the Futurama episodes this season and if you still have to watch the latest episode (Ep 23: Game of Tones), please don't read anything further in the spoiler. At least just watch the new episode and then read it.

The whole mystery driving the episode and the reveal wasn't something great or even satisfactory. But it's still good to see the show find ways to revisit Fry's past, always a nice change to see those characters.

The ending was simple yet so emotional and I got teary eyed. In fact it took me back to my own memories from years ago when I wished my mother was alive. She passed away at the age of 43 in 2000 when I was just starting college and I was about 19 years old.

So I wasn't sure if the episode ending affected me only due to my own past or that the episode was indeed so emotionally touching. But now reading many other people's reactions online, looks like most were moved by the ending, even though the setup of the whole episode isn't something memorable. Still, it had some funny moments and references.

The ending song is Manchild by Eels.

This is a good review of the episode especially the last paragraph about the ending.
