Ebay gives the buyer 7 days to pay. After the 7 days you can then file a non-paying bidder claim with Ebay which forces the buyer to pay or he will get a strike on his account and you get your fees back. Before the 7 days are up, you can't really do anything.

I see a lot of sellers say that payment MUST be made within 2-3 days etc, but in reality there is no way to enforce this.

I wouldn't worry about it to much its probably just some douche that plans on paying in a week. :pow

When I list on :devil bay I like to be paid within 3 days.

Next time go with a fixed price or BIN with immediate payment required.

Hope this helps. :D

That actually happened to me. A couple years ago, I bought the Hellraiser DVD tin. A good long while went by with no communication from the seller and no DVD. Some more time goes by and I send another e-mail. I'm about ready to file a complaint with eBay when I get an e-mail supposedly from the guy's mother. She said the seller died and they didn't know he had auctions going on until they got a call from eBay (I guess another buyer filed a complaint).

I eventually got my DVD, not that I really cared at that point. Not that I didn't believe the e-mail, but I looked into it and found an obituary via an online newspaper. :monkey4

So, I bought Hellraiser from a dead guy. :horror

Lots of scenarios possible. He may have been hit by a truck and wont get our of hospital for a fortnight, who knows. As Bodie said, "Alot of ebays will do nothing more than waste your time..". My niece asked me about ebay, so I asked her what she already knew. Turns out she was bidding on items she had no intention of paying for, just to see how it worked. She was 14, so I gave her some lip, and explained.

I'd follow nash's advice. Seven days, then it'll probably take at least another week for ebay to clue you in to what to do next. Maybe give the runner up a shot, or relist it.

My only negative feedback is from a guy who won an auction and never responded. I contacted him 3 times over about a week...nothing. So I relisted the item, sold it, and left him a neg. A couple of days later he contacts me with "I'm ready to pay!" I explain to him that the item is long gone so he leaves me a negative with the comment "Poor communication."
And that was over a $35 item. I'm sure you're waiting ona lot more for a HT Predator. Good luck!

it is best to include how quickly you want them to pay in your seller's description. some sellers can wait up to 10 days. i like to get paid within 3 days. be patient with your invoices. this may turn a buyer from paying you, especially if you don't have a lot of feedback.

But it doesnt matter how long YOU want to get paid in. The buyer can take up to 7 full days and you can't do anything to him.

the guy has paid. wooooooooooooooh i think i should have given him time to get the money together but the fact that he didnt respond to my e-mails pissed me off. a simple message after he won the item saying to give him a couple of days woulkd have been sufficient

Yeah, I always pay the same day and get ^^^^ing pissed when it takes someone like a week or more to ship something. If you are gonna sell stuff, I think it should be ready to be shipped.

All the stuff I sell is always ready to ship, but only because I have no room in my place and all my stuff is still packed up. :monkey2

It's happened to me a few times Slugy, I think they set their highest bid to a price that they can't afford and hope it doesn't go up to that price, then they win and don't have enough money to pay for it, scumbags. I give them a week to scrape the money together and if nothing happens I just report it to eBay to get a free relist and then auction it again with a warning, no ******s bidding please. https://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/adult/*******.gif
