I am thinking that Gandalf just by the pose that GG probably had an Animated Rog in the future to go against the big band G man.

If this Gandalf was from the Balrog scene wouldn't he have his sword in his hand??:monkey3

I thought that GG said at SDCC that Gandalf was designed to go along with Sauron from their fight at Isengard.

Anyways, I really like these "animated" pieces. :D

I know this is an old thread but I just set these up.

These were my sisters. She loved the Gentle Giant Animated stuff and was a big LOTR fan.

I'm very proud to have these as part of my collection.

I had several of these. They're pretty neat but I ended up clearing them out as they just lost me after a while.

I love them. I'd like to get a number of the Star Wars ones but lack of room stops me.

I only have have the Legolas and Gimli right now but I do intend to get the other ones.

You can get them for pretty cheap now. I really like the Legolas and Gimli. I finally have a Gimli statue, even if it is animated.

I'd like to pick up the brown horse ringwraith one as well.

I was originally going to go for the brown horse but the more I think about it the more I think the ringwraith belongs on a black horse.
Especially since the brown is so bright.

Nice set there Freman, I like these a lot. I only have to pick up the three Ringwraiths to complete the set. I was just thinking about finishing my set this morning actually. These were the first LOTR pieces I got when I started to collect statues a few years ago.

No. These are made of polystone. They are solid pieces.

You need to pick up the rest Chaosorb. I really wish they would have done more of them like they have with the star wars ones.

Wow so its the paint that gives them the animated look. Man I always thought these were plastic. I like em even more now.

The paint and just the way they're sculpted gives them that animated feel. They really are great. The Star Wars line is fantastic. I only have a few but my sister had lots and I loved them.

So are all GG pieces poly? What about Koto... and all the other companies I hear about but never really study or follow their product?
