Recieved my EX a few days ago. Thing is awsome. The gritty, dirty feel they gave him and the name plate looks great. What makes it even cooler is that they were able to pull of the gritty feel with such bright bright colors. Its like he is bright and gritty/full of dark shadow and effect all at the same time. Also, this guy is huge, and HEAVY. Definetly worth the little extra I paid on the secondary market. If your into marvel LSB's, you pretty much have to get this guy.

same here, and have to agree.:naughty

That is one insane bust. hopefully i'll be able to pick one up in the near future

Got BOTH of the regular versions that I ordered today! I got reg's instead of EX because I thought the "Galactus" sign was actually a distraction and made the piece look less realistic with the cartoony logo next to it. Anyhow I LOVE this piece and love how the Silver Surfer has a magnet that attaches him to the board.

Anyone else a little dissapointed that they didn't use the metallic paint shown on the box? That metallic paint really looked badass in the pics on the box, oh well.

Well, I agree with you that the nameplate isnt the greatest that we have gotten in regards to marvel lsbs. However for me it was a must becuase I only collect the ex marvel lsbs. I have 8 of them and I like having all the nameplates displayed next to thier respective characters, not to mention the smaller edition sizes.

Also your DEF right about the difference in paint, but i think it looks better than the boxart. I dont know how to describe it and the effect dosent come out in pictures, but the "black, machined, spotted" look is my favorite part of this lsb.

Hey quad how much did you end up paying for it? I was able to snag him off ebay for $345 shipped. More then i wanted to pay, but the damn edition size was so small I could see why it is going for so much $$$$$$$$.

Just opened mine up it's an amazing sculpt. The only thing is that I could have sworn that I got a ex. but it turns out I got a reg. oh well what do you do.

mine was in the $450 range shipped to canada.(i think shipping was $75-$80) a touch more than yours, but i got one coming anyways:banana:banana:banana

Isn't the reg still aval?

Nope the reg sold out right away. There was 150 of the exclusive made and 1250 of the reg. 1250 worldwide isn't really a large number either for a piece that is going to end up being VERY popular.

Regular is fine for me. That nameplate cheapens the whole look IMO but then again, I'm just envious!:monkey1....

Hard Hero Surfer comes too!

Marvel Day

Just got mine yesterday and love it. My only question is about where his "ears" are. There seems to be be some gold speckles just in this area. It looks like the paint may not have been applied properly, but I only notice it in these two areas. It sort of looks like I might be seeing it in the close up from the close up pic in kisspidde's post. Is this supposed to look like this? Has anyone else noticed this? After years of collecting with no issues, my last three purchases have had problems. I don't want to send it back if I don't have to. Thanks.
