:rotfl you never forget your first. From what I've seen I really do like the design they went with her. I'm more than likely going to pick her up too. Be sure and post some pics when you get her cause I'm sure lots would love to see it more in depth.

I am still waiting for my display shelf. Most of the pieces I have are just standing on the floor :slap:slap:slap:slap I will definitely share with you guys once I have finished decorating my living room. Lately, I have been busy playing with Legos, I still have a few boxes on hand and I hope to assemble a decent clone army. (maybe 30-40 clone with some other characters)

I'm just trying to find an EX for a fair deal. I really like the EX better on this one.

When I am buying SS, I always want to buy the EX, no matter it is only an extra painting or just one more display option that I shall never use like Luke PF's gun. I think as a collector (well it is a good reason to tell my mother why I am acquiring) if you are paying $400 for a reg, why dont you pay an extra 20% for a rare piece? Of cos, not every statue increase in value like Dr. Doom, CA and Thor PF. However, I believe if you have paid $500 for a statue, if you keep it nicely, you can always sell it back to the market at 80% of how much you have paid. (Not to mention some pieces grow like hell, see the White Queen Com) To me it is far better than buying crystals or even diamonds. (My family wholesales diamonds and I know how much they increase in value)

But I do concern one thing, I hope SS is not going to behave like Bowen. (I agree from the point of view of a business and I dont agree with bowen as a collector who looks for a value gain of my collection) They can always make "new" statue with "old" character, but they should never ever use the "same" statue, modifying them a bit and sell it as brand new, it sucks.

I second that of my asteamed Colleague Fborecki, acquire the Gambit, you will not be disappointed :exactly:

I knew you would. Gambit is def a must have. :hi5:

Don't even get me started on no shelves :slap I had piss poor planning on displaying my statues and am just now trying to figure it out. Basically like you statues are everywhere.

I plan on getting Bestas from Ikea, and displaying some other ones on my pedestals. I really think they look good on them. And make them stand out.

Pedestal displays look very tasteful and classy imo, if you have the space ;) A mixture of pedestals and curios is my present workin on scenario.

How you display those babies is important. It is because, well, I have seen some displays, they are massive, but frankly, they are not classy. It is like, you are super rich, you just build your house and you put 10 million cash on the table. Well, it is nice to have the 10 million but I would rather use a million to think of displaying the house nicely.

Right on :clap

WOW! An ebay listing just ended for $676 for the EX. Anyone wanting this masterpiece better get off their behinds and pick this up. This could get ugly if you keep waiting.

Thats nuts!!! Im sooooo glad i got mine when i did! Good luck to those that are getting the Rogue but dont have the Gambit

That's a sweet sig, Wolvie. Did you make that?

I think it is because it ships internationally? I saw two ended at 400 something.

You could be right, but I don't know if it has to do with the international shipping. The price on that thing shot up early on; I was watching it the whole way. The bidding started at $0.99 and within a day someone had put in a $400 bid. Then, two days later, someone raised to $495 with four and a half days to go in the auction. I bet if that person hadn't bid the auction up to $495 and saved the bid until the end, he or she would've gotten the figure for $450ish That being said, people will bid what they're willing to pay without thinking about how other people will react.

I was at a small fan expo type show a couple of weeks, 3 vendors had a gambit excl. PF and all of them were marked at $700, and 2 of them had sold stickers on them.

luckily i got this when i did :D

Yea this is basically what happens if you just can't or didn't pick up a great piece when it came out. Buying these amazing works of art post SSC release can be like a bullet to the heart unfortunately. Congrats to those who have it (I just got the reg) and good luck to those who are searching for him...you won't be let down as it's a a bad ass statue.
