They will probably make you take a pic of it destroyed in a bunch or pieces and mail you another one??

That's my best guess, I would hope they don't have you ship over the whole statue again just for a switch out part. Seems wasteful of money, time and energy.

I'm hoping they can just mail out the exclusive hands to those who need em.

They'll most likely hook you up with an replacement piece only, if available. Last time they sent me a replacement part, it was well package in one of those foam / mold packing materials that is formed around the piece.

no thats exactly what will happens, they would never ever need you to destroy a whole statue or return the whole thing for a switch out part

Yup, I could see a good majority with this kind of damage. The hand with the one card will hold up well. The exclusive one doesn't have much of a chance. You have 3 to 4 cards plus the blast, which isn't small, being held up by the thinest of polystone. I've been thinking about it and I'm hoping SS will allow me to keep the statue and credit me the difference between the reg. and excl.. I can fix the break and I don't care about resale value.

Yep, if they can credit you the difference that would the best option.

Otherwise I would just fix the part myself. I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of shipping it back and waiting for a new piece that could also be damaged.

EDIT: Well it would also work if they can just mail you a replacement EX hand without you having to return anything.

Just an FYI, if your piece is damaged, you can get it replaced or refunded (shipping cost included). The only time you have to pay return shipping is if the piece is undamaged and you decide you don't want it.

I just got Gambit in today and I think they did a great job. I actually like him a lot better than the Wolverine PF.

But I still can't get over the fact the Ex version looks like he is throwing a bottle of Pepto at someone.

I wish they would have made the energy feature red or even orange. But at least you have the option of him holding the one card.

I sure hope SS has changed their policy. I remember having to return an item (don't remember which) which had some paint chipping on a part of the statue. The part of the statue that chipped was a switch-out part. I had to return the whole statue. SS told me they didn't just replace the part. Now, this was some time ago, so perhaps they just replace the part. Which seems to be a better route. Although I have a feeling the replacement part will also be damaged. The design isn't a very sturdy one.
