I have a feeling that Gaming Heads can't do a Shepard until SS sells all their Shepards (license agreement), it's probably why there doing the rest of the team first... Ugh could be awhile before SS sales all of them too :(

I REALLY doubt that's a stipulation, because that would be one of the craziest non-nonsensical arrangements ever.... No one would ever agree to that or even make it a part of a licensing agreement. And who exactly would even come up with this stipulation? It's not like EA cares if SS sells them or not, they presumably dropped the license so EA found someone else interested in it. And having that requirement would only make it harder for EA (or make it worth less) to get a new licensing agreement going. And SS couldn't damn well demand that that be a stipulation when they're not even renewing the license. If they still have the license that's a remote possibility, but if they don't I can't conceive of that ever being the case.

It's far more likely that Sideshow had a 'use it or lose it' based licensing agreement, in that they were required to release new product within certain timeframes, or else the license grant reverts back to the owners.

Either that or Sideshow's licensing deal just wasn't exclusive, or had a very small exclusivity window.

Whatever the case is, we'll never really know, however at least another quality company is putting out product now, so it's good news for the fans either way.

Who cares about sideshow licensing deal there final products always end up needing work .

I would think its more likely Gaming Heads knows there is already a Shepard out there and a back to back release would most likely have fewer sales. So start with something that can compliment it.

I disagree. The Shepard PF is very impressive in person. The weathering on the armour is very well done and the pose is unique. Plus, you can't go wrong with that light up base. Couldn't be happier with mine but I'm excited to see what Gaming Heads does too :D

I have the SS version as well and like it very much in hand. Everyone who comes into my collection room with 30 plus PF's always stops to look at him. Most don't know who he is but he captures their imaginations.

Completely agree with you guys. I don't understand all the hate for Sideshow's Shepard. After purchasing it and seeing it in hand, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it.

If SS still had the license it could be a stipulation that in order for SS to release the license Gaming Heads couldn't make a Shepard within a certain time period so as not to compete with SS version.... Pure speculation but you can't help but wonder what goes on behind closed doors :)

Maybe SS only had the license for a certain time, like a 2 year deal. Within that time they only made Shephard and chose not to renew the license afterwards.

It may be possible, but it's more likely they don't have the license, and even if they did it's still unlikely that it would be a stipulation. Small chances :p

Yes licenses are almost never "permanent". But generally renewing a license for someone who already has it is quite easy unless they screwed up or don't want it anymore.

I wonder if they'll do a Joker? I imagine not but I'd be interested in Joker ><

Kinda a late post, but earlier people were asking about the size and quality of Gaming Head's Stautes, and while I will take some better photos in the light, this is a good size comparison photo I took of their headcrab zombie

I'm really hoping that they do non-squadmate characters as well, but it will probably depend on how well the line is doing. I would also love a Reaper, Collector General, or a possessed collector. I already have the Sovereign that Dark Horse made, and I like it but I find the paint to be really lackluster. A really good Sovereign or Harbinger with a light up feature would be amazing!

Gaming Heads just announced on Facebook that they've received approval for their next statue in the Mass Effect line. They didn't mention what it is, so let the speculation begin!

My guess is Tali, since they've already mentioned her and she'd be a great companion piece for Garrus.

I haven't ordered Garrus but since Tali was my love interest and squadmate in all three I couldn't resist

Well my work stopped overtime for the summer which is weird. So I have 3 days off a week. About to give this series a whole replay!
I hope a Thane comes out. I love that concept and his particular species.

Completely agree. Fantastic character design and an interesting back story for the Drell. They did a really great job with all the different races in the ME universe. I can't wait to see them all in statue form. :duff

I would like a Drell(Thane) or a Krogan(Wrex) in a statue, I dont think they'll do a Shepard because the character is ambiguous but they could do the default versions, but for now I'm hoping for

Wrex
Thane
Legion
Mordin
Miranda

.......in that order

I think we can all agree that the number 1 priority should be Conrad Verner.
