I would rater have a removable hat. Something always looks off on the combo. For the head sculpt, Teddys pick would be mine also. But whatever Rainman does, I will love. Since he does allot of bad guys. I wonder if he has an interest in: Jack Torrence or Frank Booth, both I would buy in a heart beat.

Rainman's previous hatted figures, the two Chaplins and the Gunmen series, did not have removable hats.

It's been nine pages since Galactiboy posted pics of the most recent Alex custom and nobody choked, so here's a trip down memory lane: CRM Crime Cure Boy, repainted by Les Walker. The sculpt is even more caricatured, yet I think Les' efforts make something of McDowell come through.
It had all the props we've mentioned except the glass of milk:
And you can see what must be done to the sculpt to make the hat removable:
The CRM hat snaps on very tightly. I don't know how long before it starts to chip the paint, so I'm not shooting any more pics without the hat.

LOL -- It's that I love that character and film so much, if I'm going to spend a hefty price on a 1/6th scale figure, I want to be satisfied with it.
For all of those that are happy with it, great. Me, I want something that will be in the forefront of my collection.
